A second presenter...

Guys... it occurs to me that, when the THANK YOU poster is presented to Amanda at AT2, there's going to be two of us doing the presenting.

I'm still very humbled that I'm on the brigade, but how shall we choose the second person to stand up with me? I certainly couldn't possibly choose!!!

Shall there be some sort of "electronic raffle"? Where interested people can submit their names and they can be put into a "virtual hat" and then one plucked out? Does anyone know how to do one of these?

Or any other ideas? I need to get a name to Julia as soon as we figure this out....

A poll could become a popularity contest, but then from my understanding, all of the Samandans going are...uh...popular. LOL So an anonymous poll wouldn't necessarily be a problem.

That being said, if you want to do an anonymous "pull a number out of a hat" thing, you could do that too.

But then, you'd have to be sure with any of these options that the "winner" wants to "win."

I haven't though - I've contributed a sketch, and cobbled it together, sure, but it's the sentiment of all of the fans that's the REAL thank you involved, and because of that, I don't think it's mine to choose. I think Samanda played a huge role in getting this off the ground, a number of people have helped me out in various ways including CG and Sky, too. So if we have a raffle, I think it could be fair and give everyone who's interested a chance to step up to the plate.

Besides - I LOVE YOU ALL - I could never choose!!!

we can do a poll, you can accept 'votes' to your pm box or e-mail sicne, as a mod, i can theoretically 'rig' a poll - i wouldn't but since i could i'd abstain from being eligible that way the winner would have no way of influencing the outcome

I didn't know we needed the naem ahead of time or i thought we could - at the con - put names in a hat and choose there

we could post the names of all samandans going to AT2, then have people send you thier noms and see who 'wins'

or you can choose - although i understand your reluctance to do so

FMA Webcast

I'm assuming the webcasts are edited before posting, so I doubt they will be live. However, there are webcasts for both the 2005 & 2004 Fashion Rock events and each are approximately an hour and thirty mins long, so we might be able to get a few glimpses of Amanda at the very least. Though it's more likely that we'll hear her voice rather than see her.

Once on the site, click the Fashion Rocks link and that should take you to previous webcasts of the FMA event.
