[*]I think the scene with the treasure chest would have been better if they'd each have to have given something of value to them. Not just a ball point pen, like Daniel gave. (That way, Sally, Sam could have given her wedding ring and made you very, very happy.)
It would have made LAD very happy too! I was actually thinking that when the scene was on.
Anyone else notice how many sceens had Vala/Sam in the same shot this episode? I only managed to cap a few from the first half of the episode before my husband went to bed. Hopefully others can upload some more later.
Screen Caps from The Quest Pt. 1
Spoiler:
Sadly, I couldn't get a good cap of Vala patting Sam on the shoulder. Oh well.

Okay I had friends over tonight for pizza, beer and Stargate - well one friend showed up late and missed SG-1 so after we watched SGA she wanted us to watch SG-1 again with her. Well at one point two of us looked at each other and started singing "Were following the leader, the leader, the leader were following the leader were ever she may go....
Spoiler:
Of course this was as Sam was leading everyone through the time dilation field
All in all I enjoyed the episode - nice to see everyone together

Couldn't green you, spaz, but I wanted to say I wholeheartedly agreed. I saw a lot to like in tonight's SG-1. Sam was IN CHARGE!!! That was great!
I think tonight's episode is going to be one of my favorite Sam eps. Just rewatched the "minefield" scene again. She rocked.
Spoiler:
Yes, I know that is the worst pun ever! But I just loved the way she just picked up a rock and found their way through the maze. She could have shot bullets, but no ... just give the woman a rock and she can solve anything. It just demonstrates the awesome that is Samantha Carter.
Oh, now you got me started again. ER never fails to disappoint me. People come, people go. Characters die...even major characters. Still, I never feel cheated, and I never feel like the writers have forgotten how to write the show or stay true to their characters.
Why, oh, why...can't the guys at Bridge get it right these days? Have they given up the will to live? SG-1 was pretty good tonight. They've finally learned to respect Carter, thank goodness! But now that they have that one humming again, they're off on SGA.
I'm sorry. I haven't been here in days, and I don't mean to be so negative. Except for the lack of S/J Ship (which you all know is important to me), I was fairly pleased with SG-1.
I'm desperately seeking resolution.....and I desperately want to see RDA's appearances contribute to the storyline! Gifted, well-loved actors should be used well!

You're right! They have that down pat again...and I'm enjoying that part immensely too!

So has anyone else noticed how differently RDA acts when he's wearing the dress blues and BDU's? I don't mean to be rude, but when he's in his dress blues, he always comes across as a bit stiff to me... like he's extremely uncomfortable wearing the uniform. I've noticed it in the 200th, in the Real World and again last night. When he's in his dress blues, he's General O'Neill, not Jack and he always acts strangely, but as soon as you get him in BDU's his entire personality changes. I'm not really sure if it's played that way on purpose or not, but it's rather odd to watch.

You are right about that, Kat. Hmmm....is it on purpose or not? Maybe he feels so uncomfortable in those dress blues that he would like to retire. Hmmm.....
