People are of course welcome in here...but that shouldn't mean that we just lie down and let people walk all over us and never discuss anything for risk of offending someone. If that's how it's expected to be, then why bother to have a thread at all?

I'm sorry that my speaking my mind makes any of you feel like you should lie down and take it. That's exactly how I feel when people do and have gone off about how much they dislike Vala or Cam or any other character.

My apologies for not wording my wake up call better. I had begun noticing the change well before the topic of the bad writing came up I just let it slide. Yes, I too think the writing could be better. I'm also sorry that by what I said made just about everyone here think that I'm this huge whinger or whatever else you all may think about me. But I thought I was safe in sharing my thoughts here. Guess I was wrong.

I'm sorry my use of the word hypocrisy has so many up in arms. I don't know what else to call it. I just felt that we'd all forgotten that not all of us have tough skin over our favorite fictional characters. Be they fictional or not, people do have geunie feelings towards the characters and it does hurt when someone says something that to that fan is disparaging. The reason, imho, so many humans connect with fictional characters like we do is that we see something of ourselves or what we hope to become in those characters and like it or not, sometimes we feel that when someone is not being as kind as they could to a character we like, it makes us think that other people think the same think about us. Is it logical? No but it happens. I know it happens with me. Label me as the next Neutrino girl or not, but I honestly believe I am NOTHING like her.


Like the eps MM or not, I respect that. I respect that not everyone likes all the characters. I don't feel like I've been picked on personally, but that fans like me are thought of as less important (this is just my opinion on the matter, I'm not stating it as a fact, please don't think that) because we like Sam and Vala or Cam or whatever other character folks like me like.
Thanks for those who have tried to back me up.

I'll shut up now and go back to lurking. I'm not leaving persay...just don't know if I belong or am wanted around here anymore (that's not a whinge it's just an observation).

I really liked watching the interaction between both McKays and Sam. Those three are great together. Hum..the third Gate series...'The McKays and Me'.

Okay I took off this afternoon as soon as I made my last post in this thread for a concert and I just got home a little while ago. I checked Ascension and I don't see any evening shots in it with the car Sam drove in S5 in the position that the car (same one) was in front of Jeanine's house from SGA last night. But it was raining a lot durring the filming of Ascension and the asphalt was wet in many scenes from that episode and looking at the scene from M&MM it sure looks like the ground in wet. But Kat is correct in that the floor plan inside the house does not fit Sam's house and the porce is different when she is on it talking to Jeanine.

I think this is just another example of some uality control issues with the show. Which we have been having since SGA started. 40 episodes a season to have to produce with much of the same crew has lead to some quality problems.

I don't see it as much bagging likes as it is having different ones and epressing some not positive views/opinions about characters

I haven't seen evidence of Sam-fans "ripping new ones" in other characters here. Ya'll know I like Vala a lot, and my opinion of Memento Mori is on the episode thread *sigh*.
