Since BIGGER on Samanda means "get seen"....
I have a wild and crazy request of my fellow Samandans. Could you please send me your BRILLIANT suggestions via email to [email protected] with the subject SUGGESTION BOX ???
You all are coming up with some great stuff and I don't want to lose any of it.
Thank you!
I'd really like an Amanda Blog where Amanda posts what's she's been up to lately.
Hey, you asked what I wanted, not what was realistic!!
Besides you're a very persuasive woman. I'm sure if you start working on it, you could break persuade Amanda. Now that the show has been cancelled she should have at least fifty seconds each week to post a brief hello, right?
Well that's my birthday wish. It's a little late for this year, but maybe you can manage it for next year
Speaking of the ficathon, was there a rule against overt S/J ship, or was it simply that people didn't request it? Just wondering. I loved all of the fics I read, and I look forward to checking out the others.
Also, I miss Kat. She's been doing the whole "family" deal, but I hope she gets on soon!
Three more days and I'll be home and around more often! Unfortunately this trip has been hellish. I've been running around visting people since I got here and I'm exhausted. I actually snuck away from the family to take a peak of what has been going on with my online family today. Unfortunately it's going to take me days to catch up when I get home I think. The best part of my entire trip was taking my kids to Six Flags Marine World last week. Sadly, the Stargate SG-3000 ride was out of commission(they didn't have enough people working that day to keep it open) so my eldest and I were highly disappointed. We kept running back to the ride all day hoping it would open back up but it wasn't meant to be. My sister thinks I should write a nasty letter to Six Flags telling them how I had come all the way to California from Texas to ride that specific ride and it was closed all day. I even asked about it before I bought the tickets. Grumbles to self. Oh well, other than that we had a great time. I'll try to post some photos when I get home.
It's amazing how much things change over time. I lived in this area for nearly fifteen years, but nothing is the same. We revisited our old childhood romps and even my grandparents old house -- which was very emotionally unsettling for siblings and myself. I guess it's true that you can never truly go back.
I suppose in a way the same can be said for SG-1. As much as I would like to support the campaigns to keep the show going, I know that things can never truly go back to the way they used to be. So even those people who hope that they can ressurect the show on another channel may end up being disappointed in the end. Lucky for us all, we will always have our memories.
I remember my sister's comments as we drove away from what used to be my grandparent's house. She looked over at me and said 'Don't be sad. Just close your eyes and remember how it used to be and let that be your last memory.'
For those of us who were disappointed with the last couple of seasons of SG-1, we will always have dvds and our memories of how great things were, as will all the people who enjoyed seasons nine and ten. Sci-fi may have been able to cancel the show, but they can never erase the wonderful moments we experienced watching SG-1 or friendships we have made due to our mutual love for Sam, Amanda and SG-1. As long as we continue to remember, SG-1 will never die: whether it be in our hearts, or in miniseries or big screen movies, SG-1 will live on forever.
Why you'll just have to see it for yourself it starts on this page with Scarimor (yea who else would come up with such a thing ) http://forum.gateworld.net/showthrea...27960&page=179
just keep reading it goes on for a few pages

So well put, Kat. And so nice to hear from you and know what you are doing on vacation. Enjoy the rest of the trip! Samandans have been naughty and bawdy the past day .... hehehehe ... you'll see when you catch up.

Yep, that would do it for me too! Let's get Amanda blogging here at GW. Gary Jones seems to be enjoying himself.
