Yeah, the day I got back from France my grandpa died...

And then my army people screwed me over majorly regarding massive plans I have in the next while due to a French girl staying with me for hte next 8 days, and now i'm being threatened with losing my position, because they decided to go and change ALL the dates for ALL the major things this year...
after humiliating me in front of all the lower ranks whom i'm supossed to be a role model for... then they changed the date of the MOST MAJOR exercise of the year, the one i love with all my soul, to the weekend that my play is going up, so I miss that too...

then this other thing happened... then my friend got... and then...and THAT's screwed up too...

ack, oh well, i'm not one to usually complain, i'll get over it all!!! *Thinks of Friday Night *

It took me a while to understand what the acronyms here on the boards meant. I discovered this site which is quite helpful.

Has anyone heard yet what Olivia's middle name is? The elusive and mysterious "B"?!

Blanche, Bernadette, Bernardine, Betty, Barbara, Bridgit, Buffy (?!), Barbie (?!) .... any guesses? We can guess and see who's right when the name is finally given ... I'm voting for a family name of either a grandmom or great-grandmom. But since I don't know Olivia's family tree ... I'll choose Olivia Bernadette because it has a nice flow to it!

Holy Hannah, the guy's dead already! Thank goodness I didn't marry him - I would have been a merry young widow!! Maybe a "black widow", huh?!

Oops, that's slightly OT ... okay, speaking of "black widow", did anyone read the Joe Mallozzi quote where he's asked if Pete will be returning. His answer: "There are no plans to bring Pete back ... UNLESS Sam has a change of heart!"

I nearly choked when I read that ... wanted to tell the man ... come on over here big fella - take a look at some of the intelligent discussions that have occurred over why the character of Pete may not have been the best of all plot devices in the history of the show. And why we think that it is time to give Sam her wings and let her fly, fly, fly ... soar, Sam, soar! Leadership, maturity, spunk, kick-assiness, independence, intelligence, decisiveness ... oh, yeah, JM, come visit our thread sometime ... you'll see why Sam is such a great character (without Pete).

Now, before those of you who happened to enjoy the whole Pete diversion get your knickers in a knot, just remember that we Samandans pride ourselves in the ability to discuss all things Sam in a civilized and respectful fashion ... even the 500 lb gorilla topics. We're good!

I think we all agreed on the initial idea to give Sam a personal life and round her out ... but, good grief, don't write Pete back in with a change of heart! That will not help Sam look like the mature and competent woman we all know she is. If Jack's gone, then, maybe, another mysterious stranger can arrive and enter Lt. Colonel Sam Carter's life ... but make him her equal, please! Better yet, concentrate on Carter as commander!
