When you say a 'little manipulation'... did you photoshop Sam...out? of this pic? If so, then you did a fantastic job of photoshopping, because it certainly doesn't look like she was ever in the shot!

I'll be around for a day or so yet, but then I may not get on here for half a week or something.
I hope people realise that my reasons for not playing the guess the eisode game are not because I don't want to, but because there are always so many pictures when I come on, and I rarely know any of them, and if I do, someone's always guessed them first. I just want you all to know that I appreciate all the images and photoshopping and everything.
My only concern is one of the latest gateworld announcements said something about no pasting characters heads onto other characters bodies. Didn't someone here put Sam's head on the body of someone wearing a gown, and someone else put thor's head on Sam's body? Hope you didn't get in trouble. I was worried that they might have been reffering to you.
I wish I knew what PM's were, and what MSN is. I haven't a clue, all I know is everyone else here seems to use it. It just seems a little unfair that Sally had to rep me just to tell me she didn't want her birthday in the list. I feel like I'm being mean to everyone by having them disabled.

Don't worry about not knowing all these things. It took me a while to figure out all the abbreviations. I don't have PM (private messaging) enabled either. There is a way in "my controls" to set that. MSN I think is something to do with the Microsoft Network email? You want someone clueless? To tell you how uncool *I* am, I had to look up some of the abbreviations like LOL, ROTFL etc.

Sorry about that folks, sometimes when 'in my own field' I forget that others might not know what I'm going on about. My students usually stick a hand up and say something like 'What's See Oh Two' and then I have to stop and realize that not everyone speaks in the same shorthand... erm..

I was clueless... and folks kept saying that the RL was piling up... I figured that they had a lot of fanfic that they wanted to read... It wasn't until I'd been on this thread for a month or so that I finally got it... RL = Real Life! D'oh! Guess if I spent more time there, I'd have recognized the acronym more quickly!

Argh...I really need to read/write more SamFics, but I've been so busy with school. Summer's coming soon, though. And by soon, I mean June. Grr...

But I do have another honest-to-God awesome real-life (as real as fiction can be) reason why Sam is such a great character. She inspires real-life girls (like me) to pursue scientific careers and to work hard to get into tough colleges and do research. So, in some sense, I think I can thank the Sam character for getting me my new research position this summer at NASA JPL.
