I think that Rob Tapert would do a great job with a new show for Sam - if he promised not to ever crucify her, shoot her with dozens of arrows or behead her. He did really well with Xena.

I fear Sam wouldn't escape Tapert's crucifixion fetish. By my reckoning he crucified Gabrielle three times (including the Hercules episode), Xena twice (I think - mybe three? Though of course he showed clips of it in multiple episodes) and enjoyed quite a bit of associated leg-breaking.

I love my Sam-whump but Janet and I are going to draw the line at crosses and nails.

Hmm, I'm not really sure. We went at night and the pub was really busy. We might want to make reservations at the restaurant if we go there especially with a larger party.

Yeah! I think Rob would be great writing for Sam/Amanda. He knows how to write strong, intelligent, badass women and he's also very good at writing humour. Granted Xena was very campy at times but it was still humourous and I think Amanda needs a vehicle where she can show off her comedic talents from time to time. As much as I love Sam on SG-1, I think that side of Amanda is often wasted on the show.

yes, that last ep (of the show) did me in... i haven't watch an ep of that show since then. but i also know they've been trying to do a movie, so i KNOW xena would have been ressurected.

but rob tapert is still a great writer of female characters.
