isn't vala supposed to have naquadah in her bloodstream? hence why she can use goa'uld tech. i'm wondering if she goes on this mission and gets hit just as hard as sam and teal'c, and if not, why not? i haven't read too many details on it, nor have i seen the preview.

I have to agree with you. The strangth of Sam is what makes her... her. I don't know how to better put that.

After quickly going through the preview my self (think this will be the fifth time...) I'm starting to draw my own conclusions.

Spoiler:

Sam does seem to get hard by the virus, but so does Teal'c. It has got to do something with their body chemistry that makes them - possibly - the first victims. The others will follow. I have no doubt about that.

The reall question is what Sam can't seem to do anymore. I know we are all jumping the gun and thinking the worse, but maybe it is just the simple task of staying awake that is the problem. As strong as a person is, sometimes you really can't do anything to prevent your body from shutting down.

It could just be typical fatigue. And if they DO have it so that their body chemistry causes them to be hit harder than the rest, I'll definitely be impressed. But if it's just an odd way of trying to make it look like Sam and Teal'c will have something to do, when they'll really be doing NOTHING (while they're ALL saved by Cameron), then I'd really rather not watch the episode. No amount of Sam whumping would entice me.

Five star fanfic, Sky! Thanks for recommending it! It handles the characters of Carter and Teal'c with respect and insight. Shows them both to be strong when appropriate, and lets Sam be human where appropriate

I didn't go to Shore Leave, but I will be going to Gabit 2. And I really hope there will be some sort of get together, because I really want to meet you all!

My natural inclination is for very small groups, so CG, her daughter, 1speed and I hung around together most of the time at GABIT1. We picked up with Forever and Dips occasionally. Afterwards I felt I missed out a little on spending more time with all the people who post here, so I hope I can make up for it at GABIT2!!
