Warning: this one is deep, with much real science, literature, art, poetic and just plain not what we're used to, but it is most definitely worth the read. The author suggests you read the notes at the end of the fic first. I didn't, and for the most part, I'm glad of it, because now that I have read them(they are quite extensive and interesting) I'll probably find a dozen more delightful insights.
Oh, and, if anyone knows the author could you pm me his/her e-mail? I can't access e-mail on my comp. It's me,. I'm an idiot about e-mail servers. I only know how to use hotmail. :/
That DOES look deep. Very deep. Such intelligent people watch this show.
I have to agree with DeeJay about Sam's reaction to
Spoiler:
Cameron's rescue. It would have been easier for her to trust one of the original team with her life. Jack and Teal'c are both excellent pilots, and Cameron has put her life in danger a few times. Nothing wrong with a little self preservation for our nation's national treasure.

interesting fic. but can you tell me what that ending meant???
I visited this thread a while back, but haven't had a chance lately. I haven't really been on GW lately as I was really trying to go into the season with no preconceived notions. I still probably won't be on during the week, so can I be a weekend Samandan, cause I still think Sam is a great character.
I just watched Friday's epiode, and it was... predicatable. Bummer
Spoiler:
After Teal'c, Sam and Daniel have all hit the grown, all I could hear was a little voice saying "I've fallen and I can't get up!"
Kvasir can manually control Sam's descent, but did he also control her horizontal speed in relation to the ship? Shouldn't she have stopped something like someone landing with a parachute? Did I miss that part?
Wouldn't you hate to be Russian and assigned to the Stargate program?

Woah, that was deep. Mind boggling actually. The whole first part, about the issues of revealing the Stargate program to the world had some very interesting points.
And then the insight into Carter's psyche... Eep, too deep for me at the moment
i liked the rescue, and how she was all concerned. although i had no idea fighter pilots were capable of flying battle cruisers with such excellence, but whatever.
i liked how she was quite comfortable with vala immediately (AD, don't answer this, just go watch your home made scene again. i'm guessing next week they have a pillow fight or somthing?
i liked how she seemed to be an equal in this one. and in the same scene, i liked how she and emmerson seem to get on really well. they seem like friends and the actors seem to have a pretty good chemistry there and not in the same way as with teal'c or jack or daniel, so its nice to see another different dynamic there. hopefully they won't just decide that he has a crush on her. maybe he's married or gay or just not interested in her like that, something. anything!
i liked, that the episode starts with sam. thats always good for me.
Ah I don't think you'll have to worry about him having a crush on her.

Spoiler:
Yeah I completely understood Sam's reactions to the way she was rescued. Honestly, I don't have a major issue with Mitchell rescueing Sam. It was quite obvious with her drifting in space that someone was going to have to rescue her, I just have a very hard time believing what Mitchell did was possible. I mean does anyone remember seeing the Prometheus taking off for the first time? The aircraft was enormous and once an vessel is in space doesn't it moves by thrusters. Like Sam, I just don't believe that the vessel would have the ability to be that accurate and Mitchell would have had to been much more than an exceptional pilot to have acomplished what he did. Great for television perhaps, just not very believable for me personally.
