My one question - Jack can go to a 2 star in the blink of an eye and they can't/won't make Carter a Colonel??!! - what a crock o' crap. It just gets worse if you ask me TPRTS are soooo transparent and illogocal its ridiculous.

a friend of mine pointed out that sam's hair is touching her collar---big, big no-no

my response:

hey if we can have the daddy/daughter nepotism duo and co-leaders, sam can frelling have her hair touching her collar

and, imho, they already ignore the regs that are inconvenient, so ignore them with TIG adn promote sam and settle this whole 'co-leader' mess

It's not the real Jack O'Neill. It's a hallucination. Weir wakes up in a mental insitution and gets visited by O'Neill. She's told that the Stargate and everything don't exist. So things like uniforms are likely to be a bit skewiff. Especially when imagined by Liz, who is decidedly anti-military

i was meaning not quite teh right show, not the right uniform.

yes, i am a jack slut and having jack on atlantis does make it more interesting for me

in fact, reading the spoilers for atlatnis, i find them more intriguing than the fanfic we're getting for sg1

now if they'd just focus on someonemore than shep and mckay i'd have it made

Yeah, I noticed that and it really irked me. The only real restraint on women's hair is that it doesn't touch the collar!

and, as a friend of mine pointed out, the higher you get on teh food chain, the more latitude you have. IE a SGT will be held to stringent rules whereas a Major is given a bit more leeway

Well it's probably a good thing for fans who watch Atlantis and SG-1, but I'm sure there are more than a few Atlantis fans who have never watched SG-1 and really have no interest in seeing RDA and for me, being a fan who only watches Atlantis periodically, I just don't see why they used RDA's time the way they did. One episode on Atlantis I could have understood. I may have even been able to deal with three episodes of SG-1 and two of Atlantis...but three on Atlantis and two on SG-1? Jack has eight years of history with SG-1 and about 25mins of history with SGA. It just doesn't make sense to me other than to using him as a ploy to increase ratings next season.

i dont watch atlantis but of course im going to watch the ones with RDA in. i agree with you. the characters history is on sg-1, so why put him on atlantis so much??? ah, dont make sense to me. btw he looks so good in the picture from atlantis

the pic of sam is great too. i really hope we get to see more of sam this year. theres loads of things they could do with the characters. i watched due south (think thats the name anyway) earlier this week and its the first time ive seen amanda in anything other than stargate and it just confirmed for me how good an actress she is and what a star she is.

great characterizations. no cam bashing (yes, i know i'm not a fan of his character, but i see no need to bash him in fic...or any other characters)
believable story, great jaffa stuff...teal'c actually has LINES!!!

my only regret, there's a part 3 to come and i'm hung up on a 'tbc'

I know! That's how I feel, too! She's got the characters down so well, she's better than the canon writers. You should read her other "Tag" series for SG-1, there are a couple GREAT Sam/Teal'c friendship moments in there, and so in-character that you can't believe TPTB never had enough imagination to write stuff like that.

As glad as I'll be to see RDA, why in the world would O'Neill be going to Atlantis? I used to trust the writers to come up with good reasons for what sounded odd in spoilers--not so much anymore. I also don't trust what their use of AT will be.

I'm a fairly casual viewer of Atlantis--but what's needed (IMHO) is more character development of Weir, Teyla etc, not "stunt casting" of SG1 people.

AT's hair does look good in the photos I've seen. I guess we can be glad about that much.
