It's a pity they already had a plague last season. An episode where the Ori (or anybody, I'm not fussy) hit Earth (or just the SGC, which is locked down) with a plague that only Sam and Vala, because of their protein markers and the naquadah in their blood, are immune to and the two of them have to use Goa'uld healing devices as a stop-gap measure to keep everybody alive while they, together with Dr Lam if she wasn't sick, try to come up with a cure.

YES! And women save the world! What an outlandish idea!

unless i failed stuff, i'll have a diploma pretty soon. degree is very very unlikely as i've decided not to move away next year for it. maybe i'll be a big brave girl next year and do it then if they still let me.

This is about bounty, and indirectly about momento mori and S10 in general. I posted a similar post at the anti-S10 thread and will make the one here a little more positive.

Okay let's call a spade a spade. When I first read this bounty shi - oops - cr@p I didn't know what to think then I just started laughing (and not from joy) and I actually hurt myself when I fell out of the chair. Now that I have had time to stop laughing - it took several hours - I think I can post something on this crapola.

Between this and the car chase/motorcycle wheelie junk it seems that the show has truly descended into the depths of cheesy (extra-cheese on that show please) sci-fi caricature dreck that one is used to seeing cross the screen of skiffy with no hope of return. It took them awhile but they have done it to one of the best sci-fi shows made for 8 years. I had to ask myself who the he!! is writing this cr@p? It cannot be the same people that wrote unique, intelligent drama for 8 years previously - it must be that the people we knew at bridge are gone than I saw the writer and the director and I thought oh well . . .

This is perhaps the worst description of an episode since, oh yeah - last week. What a shame that the spoilers for S9, and now for S10, just instill more and continued contempt, criticism, mocking, fear and loathing when for 8 years they instilled excitement, joy and anticipation.

The only thing remotely good I can say about the spoilers for mm (the motorcycle wheelie escapades) and bounty is that at least the BIG 3 are not mentioned to any great degree - this way they cannot be compromised too much (I hope). I would rather see them written out of the show completely than have to be involved to any great degree in the cheesy, sci-fi crapfest that this show has turned into. If this IS the show skiffy wants, and if the b@b are willing to sling this type of shi - oops - cr@p to give it to them then I for one am glad AT, MS and CJ are not that involved in it. I must say that I do feel sorry for Daniel/MS being stuck as vala's foil when she's not attached to mitchell.

As much as it irked me that they took Carter's motorcycle penchant and gave it to mitchell the more I thought about it the more I became truly thankful the BIG 3 will not be around the cheesy motorcycle wheelie nonsense and the car chase and the deli amnesiac, I am thankful that it is not Sam, Daniel or Teal'c at some cheesy reunion acting like a twit. I am thankful to TPRTS that they are keeping mitchell and vala together while keeping the BIG 3 away from them - my hope is that we get some meaningful scenes with, and between, the BIG 3 since they will be separated from the 2 clowns and that is exaclty what mitchell and vala are - CLOWNS. My hope is that if TPRTS continue to shovel this dreck that the BIG 3 are kept separate from the 2 clowns so that their characters and their reputations are not too terribly tainted by this cr@p.

For anyone that says give it time, how can you judge it on the description - well let me tell you I judged S9 on the spoilers (when you said the same exact thing) and S9 turned out WORSE than expected so based on my history of accurately calculating shi - oops- cr@p from the spoilers I have absolutely no fear that this episode, as well as several of the others so far spoiled for S10, will be exactly what many are predicting cr@pola, dreck, nonsense, embarrasing, cheesy, sci-fi schtick.

Mmmm sounds like it's a good thing I've been spoiler free for 10 pretty much. Although I admit it's not out of actual effort, so much as a lack there of to click on the links.

... I don't have any fantastic Sam moments, but there are 2 things that come to mind. First of all, when I was in high school I was in this club called the save club. I started it with my homeroom teacher and a few friends. We saved money for kids at school who didn't have enough for things like a senior yearbook picture (at my school, if you didn't have the $22 for a professional photo, you weren't in the yb) and the fees for dances and things of that sort. It was simple things that most kids take for granted, but I knew there were students who wanted to take part in those school activities and couldn't. So that was something that I helped start and we did things like have sno-cone sales after school and of course held meetings and got the word out to students about what we were doing and how they could get help, while still keeping it confidential, so that the people we were helping wouldn't be given a hard time by anyone. I think that was a Sam kind of moment for me because she is always helping people and cares a lot about people. Also, for me to do something like that was big because I am a shy person and not usually one to speak up about issues, but it made me feel very good to help out like that.

Another moment was when I went to college. I live in California and I went to school in Virginia. I had tried school here and it just didn't work out. I felt like I was hanging on to my home and family and that the only way I would get anything accomplished would be to go to College out of state. I did have some friends up there that I stayed with for a while, but the rest of the time I was on my own. For the first time in 20 years, I left my mom, dad and twin sis and moved to the other side of the country for 4 years. I couldn't just quit and go back home if I was having a tough time. Before that, I could never talk to people I didn't know, or do anything on my own. I had to learn to become independent so that I could do what I needed to do to get through that time. I think to most people it probably seems like a small thing, but for me, it was really an accomplishment.

So, those are my Sam type moments

They're beautiful and you can be so proud of the good you did in high school and the courage you mustered to leave a safe harbor and venture off into deeper waters. Being shy that had to be one of the hardest things you've ever done.

They are truly Sam-Carter moments! Thanks for sharing with us.
