Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

I was wondering why Heroes wasn't part of the nominations! I love Heroes and especially part 2 which was the climax of the two parter.
The emotion Sam (AT) showed was so heartfelt that I had to run for the tissue box.
..But as the best Sam episode in season 7, I have to pick Grace. Sam displayed every emotion in the book and took command of the situation. She over came her pain. When facing the worst odds, tuned into her inner strength and tenaciuosness through imagination, saving not only herself but the crew too.

From what the mail said, I imagine that they want people to be aware that they've been nommed and are ironing out the bugs in the program that will allow authors to see the works they've been nommed for and decide which category they'll be placed in.

But congratulations! It's always good to be nominated for these things: I tend to take the nomination more seriously than winning anything (although the winning is nice as well! ), since voting can (and often does) skew towards Big-Name-Fans and people who write happily-ever-after fic.

how the awards are doing it this year is to tell you you've been nommed via a form letter, then to contact you personally with a list of what you have and let you choose where it goes

you'll just have to be patient

LOL! Nope. Vala's not malicious, vengeful or cruel (imo) - at least not in the evil sense. And this particular character had it all.

Ah, I was unclear [as usual], or you don't read spoilers, what I meant was

Vala's daughter for next year. I believe she is supposed to be an evil Ori something... priestess? goddess? - which would make her correlate nicely with the examples you gave. So, this time it is the daughter that is evil, whereas in the Samantha story you mentioned, I gather it was the mother.

Sorry for the misunderstanding! But unfortunately, if you don't read spoilers and haven't peeked at my spoiler, then you have no idea what I am talking about!
