I'm just curious but are all of your offers to help teach my daughter still in effect if I don't win the bid for lunch with AT/RDA? Because as a homeschool mom, I could really use some help with all of these subjects.
I still can't green you uber... but beautiful post woman... and ditto whole heartedly!

Wow. My 3,500th post on GW. Makes me feel all sentimental and...stuff. (I know, I'm nothing if not articulate.)
So what do I love about Amanda? Her generous heart, her gentle nature, her lovely smile, her crazy!mad sense of humor...
I love how she lights up a room just by entering it...both on screen and at conventions.
I love how she puts others first and considers other people's feelings before her own.
I love how she passionately loves her daughter, like a mama lioness ready to defend her against harm.
I love her dedication to the Stargate franchise, to which she's given almost 10 years.
I love that she's given us Samantha Carter to enjoy as a role model and a hero.
Thank you Amanda for giving me so much enjoyment over the years and for showing me by example how I should treat others around me and for making me smile.
I'd be afraid of a sentence involving the word "technique" coming out of my mouth, so yeah probably... but then for $30,000 I'd be demanding an up close and personal step by step tour of the Grace kiss... from both em!!!

LOL! Does this mean that trifle may be served with little trademarked rectangles of plastic melted over the top?
Or should I be fearing what kind of 'technique' would be discussed...?
actually think ill watch it now, it can keep me company while writing my psychology essay
I would put it on, but I have an assignment on syntactic derivation which I'm trying to do. And everyone knows that I'm easily distracted. What do you mean "get back to discussing the derivation of middle English"? Garrrgh. And if middle English is bad..... I have to do Spanish And I don't KNOW any Spanish.
Maybe foothold IS a good idea after all. *sigh*
And Myrth... I bet you'd love an up close and personal step by step demo.
Oh sorry that's Shades of Grey:The Aftermath you can find it here in chapter form http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2522868/1/
or on gateworld, just follow the link under my sig

awwww. suprisingly im getting a lot of work done today which is amazing cause it usually takes me a while to write essays and stuff cause i change my mind about 3 times about what i actually write about. im kinda indecisive. and im busy hiding from my best friend cause i forgot to tell her that today's forensic lecture was cancelled and she'd crawled out of bed to go so she's not very impressed with me at the mo, although she was laughing so at least she sees the funny side too. ah well ill bribe her with a bar of chocolate to being my friend again and im hoping she'll forgive seeing as she's my friend and all i think ill go and try and find my copy of revelations its the one episode on my box set that i havent watched yet, although i did see it on tv. i like sam in this episode, and when she tries to talk to jack about daniel cause i think it shows how caring and stuff she is as a person as well as being a soldier, imho
In case anyone's looking for another TV show that is (so far) doing a good job of showing a strong, competent professional female lead,
Spoiler:
try 'Numbers' (on CBS). In one episode, they have her (Agent Megan Reeves) in 'tactical command' of an 'insertion team'... they are raiding a meth lab, she gives them the 'go', then she sees a wire at the last moment... it's too late.. the house goes up in a tremendous explosion. The lab is destroyed... cops are injured.. one is killed. The female CO has to live with the fact that she effectively ordered this man to his death.
Another good "woman in charge" show is
Spoiler:
"The Closer" with Kyra Sedgewick on TNT. She's strong, in charge, gets the job done, but she also has feelings, gets hurt, is flawed, and is trying to have a relationship while dealing with the squad mentality of a detective unit that doesn't want an outsider, much less a woman in charge. By the end of S1 she had won the respect of most of the squad. Season 2 which starts in June looks to be more of the same.
These are the kinds of roles I'd like to see Amanda playing, better yet the writers/producers of these shows are the kind of people I'd like to see write stories for Sam.
I'm not sure how many of you read the Gabit thread, but Flippy18 was kind enough to post an interview with Amanda regarding her involvement with the charity Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Here's her post for anyone interested in reading the article.
You know I could squee and go on.. but there's a simple fact here.. Amanda is just cool. Seriously.
