Just had a horrible thought. You know how Joe was reported to have mentioned a third Stargate series? You don't think it's going to be something horrible like....

Spoiler:
Stargate: Search for the Holy Grail
Perhaps worded a bit more prettily
Maybe ....
Spoiler:
Stargate: San'graal
Ya know that might not be a bad idea. They could move all their "new direction" stuff to that show and leave Sam and the crew back on SG-1

But, to be honest, I think a third series would only start once SG1 has been put to bed, because the senior staff already seem stretched with two shows. Plus, by the time they work it out, get scripts, cast, set it up on SG1 (or in a film), I think Amanda will have left anyway.

First of all, thanks Lys and Mandy for backing me up. The reason for it is that I'm pretty sure my French tutor (who is also a Stargate fan) occasionally lurks here on Samanda. He has referenced a few "in" jokes.
Sci Fi Girl... you think you've got it bad? I assume you're on a three year degree? I'm coming to the end of my four year degree. My essay writing has got to the stage where I'll research and write the essay the night/morning it's due in. The thing is that it's all about jumping through hoops. Just copy out what other people have written, reference it, link it up to make it look pretty and then ta-da you have yourself a 2:1. I still have a PGCE to do next year. I was going to do a masters in applied linguistic studies, but decided to wait a few years before doing a masters in applied linguistic studies for teaching purposes. Yes. I'm going to be in the education system for life. Long days, marking, detentions, sleepless nights and abuse from both homicidal teenagers and their parents... why am I going to do this? Because it's what I love, and it's what I've wanted to do since I was seven. I miss teaching so damn much.
Luckily for me I have just handed in my research project - woooohoooo, and my masters next year is in research, so i'm hoping it'll be less essays and more experiments and studies one can hope anyway. I dont really think i've got it bad, just have some off days occassionally back to normal today, well what passes for normal for me anyway
