It's funny, but I never looked at Ascension in that way. I always felt that the "team" did support her, even if they were doubtful at first. ...
They were certainly no less supportive than when Daniel was carted off by the men in white coats after getting infected by one of Machello's little gizmos.
Neither Sam nor Daniel were treated particularly well at first, but later they had their team's support. I did like how Jack stood up to Simmonds for Sam, with the "I ordered her" oar-in.
What I would have liked to see is some fall-out after she came back to the SGC though. How did she square what happened at her house with Hammond? he let her go in to talk Orlin out, and she followed him through a jerry-rigged stargate instead.

Hmmmph. Let me get this straight: Last night, you guys had an SVU/Mariska Hargitay AND a Cold Case/Kathryn Morris talk without me?!
I am so insulted.
Um, just where did you have this "discussion"....I'm an SVU/Cold Case FANatic too. Hmmm, could there be a gene that has caused us all to have such GREAT taste in actresses? I think a research project is definitely in order, maybe Sam could help.
On fighting:
Farrah: "A swordsman does not fear death, if he dies with honor."
Dr. Who: "Then he's an idiot."
It's not really a rewrite to the end of an episode, but I'm still really disappointed that the scenes between Sam and Daniel in Full Circle were cut. The fact that Daniel never came to Sam during season six always bothered me. There were plenty of times when Daniel could have offered Sam support. He could have came to her in Metamorphosis. I could see Sam laying in the cell thinking she was going to die and looking over and seeing Daniel sitting across from her. She would have thought she was hallucinating. Teal'c would have seen her talking to thin air and known.
I'm sure it was a matter of time constraints and budgetary issues, but I really think it was wrong on the writers/editors part never to have Daniel talk to Sam and for them never to show Sam's hurt when she found out that he had come to Teal'c and Jack several times. At the very least, I think an explanation of why really should have been included in Full Circle, but it seems things like this regarding Sam is always the first thing that gets left on the cutting room floor.
I'd agree with that.
There are few episoded where I think they could have dealt with somethings differently. I know if my friends didnt believe, I would not be very happy and it seemed in that episode that she just went back to normal. Saying that I put it down to you cant everything you want in life, money and the people in charge. I think AT/SC are great, and that for me has not changed throught the programme. Off now to watch my season 5 box set, only bought it yesterday. Serious tv watching to do tonight. Hope everyone is well

Check back a few pages, Lida. The bums engaged in a brief discussion (with pics, apparently) about the two actresses and their shows.
And about this gene... Very intriguing! I'm in for a research project or two.

I agree, Kat. I guess I always rationalized it with the fact that Sam's life was in danger when she had Teal'c and Jack by her side. She wasn't about to die alone. Jack was suffering/dying alone, and Teal'c was as well. Isn't that what Daniel was going to say to her?
I still agree that they could've addressed it. They were supposedly "ending the show," so they could've spared something else, like a story issue, to address that character issue. What would it have hurt? Sam could've expressed her annoyance, and Daniel could've explained it to her.
When I think back on that episode, it seems rather flat. I didn't realize it when I first watched it, because that was my first episode. But after three years, when I look back at Full Circle, Daniel's interaction with the others - specifically, for some reason, Sam - seems off. I don't know how to explain it exactly. Is there a reason behind that? Were they trying to fit too much information into one episode?
AT: I realise that SciFi are trying to sex-up the show, but I don't think this'll catch the young male demographic they're looking for.
But I dont think any women would mind, heck i dont. My two favourite people in one picture. Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy. Ok, sorry, please dont think im crazy I promise ill be quite.

Great pic and caption, and I love you brought up a subject near and dear to me.....scifi demographics. Exactly WHEN do you think the stat takers are going to get it right? If you looked at the audience at Vancouver, you'd see how far off they are. WE rule! It's time we were acknowledged...and I'm ranting again, right? I'm still on Con time.....I want to go back, now!!!! Sorry, I'll be good...right.

Hey... What would you say the ratio of men to women was? 1:5? 1:7?
