Welcome to Samanda, mp. You found the perfect thread - there are many multiples running around here!! But we haven't lost anyone to cascade entropic failure yet!

You'll also find all kinds of Janet worship in Samanda. I'll let AD speak to that. Many of us are hoping she does return in S10 and it seems they've left the door open.

Welcome welcome and welcome. I haven't been on ALL the threads on GW but I enjoy this thread immensely. I'm sure you will as well.

Oh, and I DEARLY miss Janet! I don't understand why they felt the need to remove her from the mix - she is wonderful and I really really hope they bring her back!

I for one had hoped that in season nine that Stargate would truly become an ensemble cast with no leading characters, but it's obvious by the way things played out that the suits still don't believe that Stargate is capable of surviving with only Amanda, Michael and Chris. Because not only did they bring in Ben and Claudia, but they brought in well known names like Beau Bridges and Lou Gosset Jr and from what I have heard we may be hearing announcements in the future regarding other big named guest stars. I'm secretly hoping for Johnny Depp. I mean come on Peter Deluise should be able to pull that one off don't ya think?

the cynic i me says that the three characters weren't necessarioy brought in to REPLACE jack as they were to replace the whole cast. These new folks were brought in and have been written in such a way as to make the existing cast members as replacable as possible.

The writing thus far this season, well has anyone really grown since the season premieer? have they changed? has the show effected them?

not really. they're not THE show, they're just pawns moving the plot along

I think that the new folks were brought in to make the show more generic, which will make the actors more replacable which eliminates the 'if ______ doesn't sign, there is no season'

skiffy doesn't want any actor to have that much power over them
