i had a whole other issue with orpheus.

teal'c's sudden and overwhelming pity party came out of left field. he was fine since changeling then presto changeo whammo he's lost his mojo! holy insecurities batman, we gotta help him find it!!!!!!!!

in 8 years, teal'c has never struck me as a 'feel sorry for himself' type, yet here he turns into a petulant little jaffa and has to have his hand held.

that was the biggest weakness of the whole eps. his mojolessness smacked of plot device

I guess one could say it was just a slipshod way of giving his character more depth at a time when they were popping out a bunch of standalone episodes. I thought the scenes between Teal'c and Daniel were pretty neat. It was, I believe, one of the last episodes where they touched on his memory loss. Soon after, it was like he remembered everything.

But it was a nice moment between them, nevertheless.

They've shown how determined and, at times, overly proud Teal'c can be when it comes to his own strength and will. He's got obvious faith and trust in his team of course, but when he sees something NOT going right, he's normally the one gutsy enough to take a different route

It would seem to me that it's in his nature to take matters into his own hands when he deems it appropriate. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it hinders and is really quite foolish (Jaffa Revenge Thing, anyone?). But I liked Avatar so much, because

he was either subconsciously keeping that wall and the facade up, or the writers simply forgot about what they'd addressed in the eighth season.

Hmm, this about sums up my wish list for season ten. Seeing Jack would be a nice added bonus, but I really don't expect to see him. However, I can honestly say that nowhere on my list does it say 'More Mitchell'. I'm not saying get rid of the guy, but we've had an entire season of Mitchell, it's time for him to be integrated with the rest of the team and stop throwing him out in front of so many episodes.

Can I just say "Ditto" to this entire post? Except I might put More Jack as number 8.

You beat me! I was going to say "ditto" to ForeverSg1's post! Well, I'll say it anyway....DITTO, and I also think Sam and Jack are "together".....and it would be nice to hear him mentioned a bit more, but you know how the writers, one in particular, love to torture us.
