So has the question about where to find the screen caps for Off The Grid can be found?

I'm not sure about anyone else's caps, but I made my own. Unfortunately my dvd copy wasn't very good last night so the caps are really grainy. I tried cleaning them up as much as possible, but I don't feel like capping a ton of cr*ppy screenshots so I've only made a handful of last night's episode. If I manage to get a better dvd copy today, I'll add some more tonight.

It's an AU where Sam didn't get to be part of the SGC... and ended up in the NID instead. Great dialogue between Jack and Sam, it has J/S UST, but they do not end up in bed together (I don't even think they kiss), so in the 'ship' regard, it's probably along the same lines as the actual series.

I dunno, Amanada's never really opposed doing Sam whump, has she??? *shudders at thought* She always does own stunts if she can...

Smacking her face wouldn't really do her harm re/being Olivia's dinner bar... unless she had to go to First Aid car when Olivia needed her or something... *shrug* I don't know though, it could be true.

I'm new - So Hi... I just wanted to comment on the lack of "showing" Sam get whumped... A friend of mine , in school, was telling me his mom is one of the ones who "censor" US TV programs and told him there are very strict protocols they have to follow, for example - aman can only be filmed hitting a woman if his hand is open - they wil not allow TV shows to show a woman with a fist, ironically they do allow them to show a mand pistol whipping a woman or hitting her with a rifle but, [but not in the face, with the rifle butt, but they can be shown pistol whipping a woman ib the face]... They can show the aftermath of a close fissted beating and "creative dorectors can show the man on the verge of puncing her, [like within inches, but have to cut away and have the actress react with a groan or whatever]..
The thing that get's me is that they are allowed to show a woman getting raped or an on-screen husband physically abusing his on-screen wife, even with fists...
So I think they were following censorship rules... I've heard Amanda at conventions talk about these sort of scenes and she has no problem with thoses scenes, in fact she said during "Death Knell" she kept on asking for more blood and dirt - she said it helps her to stay in the scene and she did reveal that she does most of her own stunts and learned how to take a "punch/backhand" way back when she started doing Theatre...

Is it just me, or does it seem like whenever they do a shot with Sam and Cameron standing next to one another that Sam looks really small? I don't think I've ever really noticed Sam being so much smaller than the other guys in the past. I mean, yeah, next to Teal'c, Sam's always looked petite. Perhaps it was due to camera angles or the fact that MS wasn't really buffed up in the earlier seasons so even though he was a few inches taller than Amanda he didn't make her look small next to him. I mean when they chatted with one another they always seemed to look nearly eye-to-eye. However, I've really been noticing how much smaller Sam appears to be in certain scenes this season.

maybe they're pulling a LOTR?

what they did in LOTR to make gandalf look somuch bigger than the dwarves and hobbits was to put gandalf 5 feet from the camera, frodo 10 feet and the camera fools you into seeing them relatively next to each other when they're really feet and feet apart.

maybe it's an effort to make cam look more heroish and dominate?
