as for sam/cam, i'm not seeing it. i know
    Spoiler:
PDL may have tried directing it that way in RE and maybe BB was directed to play it that way, but i saw AT really not playing that way deliberately.

so i'm seeing that relationship more like the relationship she has with daniel. really more of a psuedo sibling thing goin' on than anything else.
    Totally 100% agreed.

    Spoiler:
the asgard scene, the clothes one, that was a rip off of Shep's Atlantis scene, BB got so close to AT, it was like they were trying to imply something, but it was AT's stance that nullified that. It does seem like she was purposefully acting against that. Bravo... that's my girl!

Last night I took a peek at RE again, and I noticed something else wonky.

        Spoiler:
Did anyone else notice how close Cam leaned into Sam during the scene where he was saying he expected the Asgard to be different (more pants...)... ? It looked so awkward, for a moment there I thought Amanda was going to fall over backwards because she leaned back to get out of the way when he leaned in close to her; if I'd directed that I think I'd have chosen a different take, that one looked really uncomfortable (mostly for Amanda).

The funny thing is, I noticed when I watched Farscape that Ben Browder seems to really like to get way up close into people's spaces. He tended to do that with all of his scene-partners, especially Claudia, but even the guys. It looks to be part of his style. It weirded me out at first with Farscape, too, but I thought that level of intense intimacy was directed there (and perhaps it was, which was what engendered the style for him to begin with), but I have noticed a few occasions on SG-1 where he's done the same thing during confrontations with others, or "whisper" scenes. He'll get so close to the other actor, it almost looks uncomfortable.

Funny quirk, I guess. Wonder if they'll ever notice and direct that out of Mitchell; or if they'll just make it part of Mitchell's character, too.

Felt like doing a little nitpicking...

As you know, I'm writing a Ripple Effect besed fic, and certain bits are based in scenes. I'm using looks, hand gestures etc to explain certain feelings and thought processes that might have gone on in Sam's head. However....

                  Spoiler:
In the commissary scene, Sam has her hands on the table, by her coffee mug. She then draws them in and folds her arms when Black!Sam comes into the room. I was trying to understand why, but then it cuts to Sam again and her arms are unfolded again!!! Arrrrrgh! How am I meant to write this fic with discrepancies like that?

For those of you who are curious. The bits I'm talking about occur at
                  20:18
                  20:26

Perhaps Tracy it had more to do with not being able to keep the continuity when they have to put the scenes together in post production

Me thinks it's time for Amanda to try and fix the situation with Ben by perhaps eating garlic befor their scenes Perhaps he may back off a little.

Nope, not at all. I'm a languages student but specialised in writing and directing at the theatre school I went to. Never had anything to do with film though. Ever.

As for you, Mandy, I realise that, but I've read many a time how they have people there who are paid for maintaining continuity, including people who check they are wearing their collars in the right position etc. How can such a huge thing be missed? Plus, if you watch True Science, Amanda talks about it there too.

I know they do. I don't usually notice it, but because this fic is based on such subtle nuances, it really makes a difference. I can't explain arms being extended over the table if the next moment they're folded.
