AT: Can you believe the things some fans say about each other and us?
RDA: Amanda turn the computer off lets go watch the simpsons for a real laugh.
Besides Bubba, there are many other names given to Southerners, such as:
Billy Joe
Bobby Joe
Jimmy Joe
Jim Bob
.....and that's just the guys! The girls might be:
Billie Jo
Bobbie Jo
You get my drift---tee-hee!

And isn't there something about eating southern fried chicken and running for president?
Contrary to myth, many of us now bake our "fried" chicken in the oven to cut down on cholesterol. And always, always, skin the chicken first! Eating chicken skin----ewwwww!
As for running for President, there seems to be a race going on between Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas.....but as long as the next guy isn't GWB, I'll try not to complain! Tee-hee 2!

heh hemm...They ask Amanda my question!!! The one from 'Pozzy'. Do you really think this came from a 13 yr old? I take a little offense to your post Tracy.
Sorry, honey. I think you missed my earlier post. I did say with notable exceptions. I kinda meant the general ambiance. A few light fluffy questions are fine, but I think it would have been nice to throw a few meatier bones into the arena as well. This isn't just cos my question wasn't asked, I'm happy because now I have something for GABIT, I just mean the general tone of the interview. Things like "I want to be an actor" and things..... just not really my cup of tea. I want to find out new things about Amanda, you know?

Well, they asked one of my questions as well. I'm certainly not 13yrs old, but I didn't take offense. I don't think my question was inspiring in any way, but I also think they were trying to find questions that Amanda could answer without alot of thought seeing as their time was very limited and she was probably taking care of Olivia at the same time.
I asked four questions, they picked one. I was actually just trying to learn something new about Amanda and trying to keep things light and friendly without delving too deeply into her personal life or dragging Amanda into our worries about what is going to happen to Sam this season and next. She probably has enough to deal with on her own.

Okay I could not pass this one up.
My best friend from my days teaching in Georgia's husbands given name is
Howard but he goes by Buddy
Thier oldest son Howard Jr. goes by Buster
youngest son Beau well he goes by Beau
So when she calls them to dinner for her famous Fried Chicken it's always
Buddy, Buster, Beau come and get it.
Oh and I stay away from politics in forums like this.

Sounds great. I need to do an American road trip!!!
so, got to tell you guys that i'm bummed my other thread didn't work out. the usual suspects sucked the life out of it, but... i have a feeling as the season progresses and the new characters 'borrow' more and more of the our original 3's areas... and wait till next season!
this is depressing.
so, three cheers for hoping oober can set up a chat with amanda!!!
A few thoughts on todays chat before I head off for the night. First with chats like con panels we must remember it's house rules - in others words different chats/cons will allow for different types of questions. I have been at cons were before the first panel starts they tell you up front that no question will be allowed that pertain to the current season. For today's chat they did not say what seasons were okay and what ones were not allowed but given the questions asked looks like S9 & S10 for the most part were off limits. This may have been the sites choice or AT's choice we don't know and I'm okay with that.
A few of the questions have been asked before at cons and were questions that sounded like younger fans would have asked - but that does not make them any less valued in being asked just because you/I would not have asked them or we/I already knew the answer.
I for one still learned some new things today and did appreaciate that Amanda took the time out of her day to answer some fans questions.
The question of who Holly is - well in the very least she was typing for AT - she could be her publicist/ a friend/ truth is we may never no for sure and I'm okay with that it's really none of my business
One thing Amanda talked about I really liked she talked about continuing to practice your craft - taking lesson - related acting to being like practicing an instrument (it amazes my students all the time to find out I still practice - not as much as they need to but I do still need to practice)
She also talked about Networking - well when she talked about this I thought about the Golf topic that was a hot topic recently - I did not bring it up at the time but two of my all-time favorite gigs playing the Bob Hope show and the Natalie Cole show came as a result of playing golf the day after gigs with the guys in the band. I don't really like golf and can think of better things to do with my time but I went and played because of the contacts I would make with the people that did the hiring for the musicians union and for me the payoff was big. Sometimes the networking is done on the golf course - it is not always what you know or how good you are but who you know that gets you the gig. As a young musician it meant playing a little golf with the boys - something I no longer need to do because the connection have been made and I'm on all the right lists.
Y'all take care - have fun and play nice -
