Am I the only one other than NC, who actually likes math?
I like some math, depends on what I'm solving for. Most of the time (High School not college) Physics was fun, but in Calculus it was frustrating. I prefer Science, some Physics, Astronomy, English and the Arts.
I should do as Sun suggests and complain to the source, but I get a feeling that they've committed to this shiny new format and aren't going to change it, no matter what the old time subscribers want.

I had to chuckle when I read this line because it made me think of exactly how things are going with Stargate SG1 - ironic isn't it. (Change for the sake of change is never a good thing IMO and that is TV Guide and Stragate to a T).
ooops Sally beat me to it - but I had the same thought and we all know what they say about minds that think alike . . .
Found a nice read just then, Imperfections, by Moonshayde. It's a Sam/Daniel friendship/pre-ship (take your pick), 'While attending a function with former colleagues, Sam is forced to face some of the doubts that have been weighing down on her subconscious.'
Ahh, grasshopper, infinity is only a concept, and not to be comprehended in mere numerical terms. Just think of it as Oma-speak and realize that you'll never really understand it, you just have to accept that it's there.
*goes to her warm and happy place

I prefer to be called Sunny, Sun or SK. Thanks.
Good point, but shall we discuss Gabriel's Horn, a figure which appears to be infinite, has an infinite surface area, but has a finite volume? As I tell my students, strange things happen at infinity.
This conversation reminds me of a quote from Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking Glass", when the White Queen tells Alice she needs to practice believing impossible things. "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
*runs away screaming....
AAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHH
Make it stop...please.
