I have about 12 hours of plane and train journeys in the next 2 days , can someone recomend some nice longish fics for me to read ?
I'm not choosy but quite like S/J and or Sam humping/angst as long as it has a happy ending .

300 dpi is what you must have for printing. and yes, origial work gets around that pesky copyright issue.

first of all we need to know how many artists wish to contribute. if there's only a few, then a large scale project really isn't necessary.

then, i think we really need to contact becky once we come up with a final plan and let her know, get her blessing and make sure that things are ok.

i do think offering to mail it is a nice idea. you gotta remember that she will, most likely, be traveling with olivia and maybe alan and will have her hands fu ll. the last thing, as much as i'm sure she likes the goodies, is to burden her down with stuff to get through customs

now here's another idea. what if we got, let's say 12 works of art from folks, at the high print out quality, then got them printed out and bound (i'm thinking that spiral binding, and then put various fans' notes ON them)

or....what if we made a calendar and had the top, picture, part of it a collection of notes from as many fans as we can get? we can make it 12 months, 18 months or even 24 months, depending on how much art work we got

then it'd be something portable, personal but still useful. and she could hang it on the wall and have the Months of Samanda

And Sky: I love the calendar idea, it'd be quite fun. You could do something like a funny Samandan quote on each page, like in the bottom corner...you know how there's always a few spare gaps at the beginning / end of the month depending on where the month ends.

Besides those and the great ones others have listed already ... Over the Holidays I have been reading fics from two authors found on fanfiction.net:

Eve8 - funny J/S stories and tastefully done, despite some apprehension I had reading the summary like "Small Favors" also "Blame it on the Tensil" Wonderful Carter family fic

Melora30 - wonderful j/s fics that are well thought out. They are usually angst/drama. She has written a handful of fics and all of them are good. "Diplomatic Immunity" is a good Sam whumping fic.

Oh, that would be nice, all the Samandans names and positions. But that's a lot of work, to find everyone. It would be lovely to do it in memory of the royal baker, though.
