Hmm, I think that may have just been coincedental.

Weir and Kavanaugh have had bad blood between them back since 38 Minutes (1x04) where Kavanaugh questioned her leadership abilities after she dressed him down in front of his peers. And again in Letters from Pegasus his message that he sent back was to General O'Neill, outlining the poor command decisions he believed Weir had made during their time in the city. So while it could bear resemblance to another fandom arguement, I doubt it was intentional.
