Just a quick note as I'm about to go to the first Q&A with Amanda in a few minutes.

I met Chopin Gal, Coley and 1Speed briefly last night. CG said that Amanda mentioned the book Samanda sent her last night at the cocktail party. She should be writing up a report about the night's events today. <snip> I'll try to get lots of photos today.

yeah, I know about Claudia's appearances at the other SGcons next year. IF I go to Vancouver, it will be cheap seats for me at the con. I doubt I could afford more than that, especially if I stay the whole weekend. LOL

Totally understand wanting to spend time with family, bummer for fans though.

Good on Chris though.

True enough about how far out the con is and who (aside from the three Creation have on their sight now) will be there. Time will tell.

SG-P: You’re directing the episode „Grace Under Pressure“ what can you tell us about this episode? Some spoilers would be really cool!
MW: I just saw the visual effects for Grace Under Pressure…they are so amazing! Rodney is in a puddle jumper that goes down…in the ocean…and it starts to sink- fast. You should see the vfx. I thought the ocean fx for The Eye were cool, these are light years ahead. And of course if you are familiar with the episode “Grace” from SG-1 you can probably guess that he gets a little friendly help from his own brain in the form of a hallucination…

SG-P: Which season two episode is your favourite so far?
MW: “Siege 3 and Grace Under Pressure”

SG-P: As we know you’ve directed the episode „Ex-Deus Machina“ – are there any other episodes you’ve directed so far or will direct in the future?
MW: As I mentioned above I just (yesterday) completed the Season finale - “Camelot”- wait until you see this one!

Fab work, Lys. That is just beautiful. Is that your quote? I love it's simplicity and touch of emotion.

When I think of friendship and SG1, I also get visuals of Sam at Jack's side when they go on missions. I'm not sure why I think of these as friendships when they are military-business. Somehow, though, there are times when her position and his shows a very high level of trust between them. I'll have to give that more thought, maybe pinpoint an ep or so. It gives me a chuckle that if an enemy saw Sam behind Jack they might think she was a female being protected. Boy would they get a surprise if they engaged Sam Carter!

Just sayin, I'll be waiting for more on Sam and the Boys; what a nice title!

Gee. Stargate cons seem to be rare in the NY-Metro area. The Meadowlands in NJ have had at least 2 that I know of, but nothing like the ones I'm hearing about in Vancouver or UK. I attended only one last year, and the programming alternated appearances by CJ (Saturday) and MS (Sunday). Amanda Tapping was originally sched before her pregnancy became apparent. Hope they get to plan a nice, full casted con in our area soon. Til then, guess I'll do what others do, make a con my vacation destination. Will keep my eye on one where AT will be.

Although with all the cast sporting new baby additions, wonder how many more cons they will be able to attend, with the new responsibilities. Uh-oh, won't go there yet. I'll just try to make a con sooner rather than later!!
