I have not had a chance to catch up here so this may be repetitive but I received a reply to my e-mail from Mr. Edelman and he has advised that he has nothing to do with the actual show - he is the editor of the SciFi magazine. He did say he would pass my e-mail on to those in charge of the show that could answer my question and I asked him to give me thier names.

I don't know if anyone else has had this response or if anyone has the names of who we should write to but if I get anything else in on this I'll let you all know. I was actually pleasantly surprised I got any response at all, and it was a very nice response.
Thank you so much for this post. I'm so embarrassed because I'm responsible for providing the incorrect e-mail address. Somone else gave it to me. I didn't receive a response from them. If you do get e-mail info for MGM, please do let us know. Here's the mailing address from the official Sg-1 site: Stargate Sg-1 C/O MGM 10250 Constellation Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90067
Gateworld lists this as the mailing info:
The Bridge Studios
Stargate Productions

Burnaby, British Columbia, V5M 3Z3
Canada
If anyone wants to PM me with your letter or post it here about Sam's leadership of Sg-1, I'll be happy to mail it out for you. The only problem would be the signature, unless you can scan it in somehow. In the meantime, you can visit MGM's site and send a comment via their site: http://www.mgm.com/help.doI just copied and pasted my original e-mail to them.

I also sent an e-mail. binkpmmc was kind enough to let me send a copy of hers as writing is not one of my strong points. I will report if I get a response.

Thanks, Joanne!

Thanks for the kind words to my badly written letter. Ha-ha.

if i wrote it you would. and i'm not meaning that to sound arogant. because i love *sam* (not just sam 'with' jack), i'd write *all* the aspects of sam's character - and ones we haven't even considered. and sam as leader of sg1 would have been explored a LOT in the 8th season, and mitchell coming aboard in season 9... he would have been sam's second in command.
all it takes is one person to care about the subject, and write it with respect for the issue and an imagination to keep it fresh and exciting.
i'll take the job!
I look forward to it.

All of you are cracking me up with the spiked blue jello. I actually thought it was Qasim. It had his mischivous trademark all over it. I’m so glad I’m ignoring school work to spend time in Samanda! (Skips away happy!)

Chocdoc, feel free to quote or link to my post on the Sam/Cam leadership thing. Since I haven't been following that thread on the forum, I think I'd feel a little strange just showing up, posting a lengthy rant, and leaving. Hope that makes sense.
Kat, you're in Texas, aren't you? I hope you're not on the Gulf coast...

Don't worry MG ! I got the real culprit.
You won't believe what I found ! our dear Teal'c has been duplicated in Hebridan ! He got an evil twin and this one is the culprit. See the proof :
We're still collecting fan mail to give to Amanda at Gabit. We will put this along with the contest entries in an appreciation book. But we can't do this without YOUR HELP !
*snip*
So in short the items you may include:
A personal letter
Photo
Postcard
Poem
Fanart
...anything else you want to add...
Please spread the word onto other list as we hope to reach as many
fans as possible ! Take care,
Sandy and Dana
My daughter saw me looking at the cover picture and thought it was really pretty. When I told her what it was for she said she wanted to write a letter to Amanda too. I let her play with my paint program and she made a picture with hearts on it. Everything on this page was her idea, I just had to help her add a few things. She even typed out 'I love you' and picked the colors by herself. It's nothing fancy, but I think it gets the point across beautifully.
If anyone else would like to do something like this, but are unable to do so on your own, I would be more than willing to help put something together for you. Just PM your letter, photos you'd like to be included, or any ideas you may have and I'll do my best to help out if I can.

Yes, luckily we are near Dallas and approximately ten hours away from the Gulf Coast. From what I have heard we should be seeing the remains of the storm up here by Sunday morning, but it will have thankfully diminished a great deal in strength by then.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those people along the Gulf who are fleeing from hurricane Rita. I have a feeling our country will be feeling the effects from Katrina and Rita for months to come. One can only hope this will be the worst of the hurricanes, but sadly this is only the beginning of the hurricane season.

Kat, this is adorable. I am sure Amanda will be touched by this. And what a beautiful girl you have!

I am glad that you and your family will be safe. But like you, I worry about everybody who will be in the path of the hurricane. I am still trying to comprehend what happened during the last hurricane, it is just unbelievable and inconceivable. I am hoping and praying that everybody will be able to get to safety before the hurricane strikes.

Just want to add my thoughts to those on the east coast. There has been a lot on the news about it today over here. Take Care everyone who it may affect

Oh. My. Gawd. Amanda is going to melt all over her trailer into a puddle of goo. I bet that letter goes up on the wall right next to the mirror. How adorable and enchanting is little Kallesta?? She's such a heartbreaker! {sigh} You're a very lucky mommy, ForeverSg1. What a treasure.

It's a lovely letter Kat. I'm sure Amanda will be delighted to see it coming from your little girl. Kallesta is very talented and she's really gorgeous.
I'm also glad to hear that you're not on the Coast. I hope you'll be safe and that this hurricane will not cause so much damage than the previous one.
