I started in advertising and then jumped ship in the early 90s when it became clear that the WWW was going to be SOMEthing. So I guess you could say that tech field. Now that I'm 'retired' from that I play music, mostly jazz & rock, which seems very male dominated, especially in the South where I live now. I'm not a vocalist, and you know, ALL females MUST sing in order to be considered REAL musicians. Anyway, enough prattling on about my personal life.

I think I can deal with the darker edge the series is taking, if they:

a.) Don't create this darker edge in an effort to better compete with BSG.

b.) Don't start doing illogical things, which will mean nothing to viewers who have only started watching, but EVERYTHING to those who have watched nearly every episode.

c.) Don't continue to "sacrifice" (I use this word lightly for now) the main characters for the sake of a plot device.

There are a dozen other things that I hope they DON'T do, but I think the darker edge could be an interesting change for the series.

Maybe the Doubting Thomases can shut up now. I mean, Stargate has always been melodramatic, in the sense that it's willing to make fun of itself and the genre, but you don't achieve 10 seasons by having absolutely NO redeeming quality or content.

I think it was handled badly in the ep - but Cameron Bright's acting was very good IMO - They just had a spiritual connection like Chaya and Shep had at the end of 'Sanctuary'

For all of you who would like to see Stargate SG-1 being renewed for Season 10, there is an online petition that you can sign.
