I only watched a few episodes of season 9. Infact I stopped watching and then picked it up again when I heard Vala was back I'll be buying the boxset.

I'm loving Vala! She's just so funny, and it's great that there's more to her character than just humour. Claudia's doing a fantastic job with her.

I must admit that I had some problems watching Vala-less episodes of season 9. But surprisingly, now when I'm watching them on DVDs (I'm buying single volumes being releasing in UK, btw you don't know what you're missing not buying them - I'm not sure the Restricted Area will be still available at www.sg1-uk.com when the boxset is released, and now every month you have access there to short interviews which are not available anywhere else) I like them much, much more, especially watching additional features on DVD and listening (reading) to audio commentaries by writers/directors.

And yes, Claudia is doing fan-frellin-tastic job with Vala

I was extremely disappointed when I bought vol. 40 last year (the one with Claud's Prometheus Unbound episode) and there weren't commentaries included, but fortunately MGM UK replaced the disc with the one including commentaries several months later. And this year fortunately commentaries ARE included in single volumes, I suppose this was the reason for delay in releasing season 9 DVDs, as initially they were going to release the first volume mid-February or something like this and it was released at the end of March.

I'm loving Vala! She's just so funny, and it's great that there's more to her character than just humour. Claudia's doing a fantastic job with her.

I love Vala too, she is like a chocolate ice cream in the heat of the summer, she is funny, she is sexy, she is smart and she has chemistry with the rest of the cast. I think Vala is the sugar of Stargate command and we need sugar in our cells, especially in the brain ones.

Just have to put my 2 cents in for Avalon part 2....i thought the last scene with daniel and vala was excellent, particularly vala, it was sooo touching!!! It has to be one of the most emotionally powerful scenes in all of the stargate seasons...and i nearly cried....i rarely cry for a tv show too!!....but i have to say it might have had something to do with the fact that i am a HUGE farscape and aeryn fan...but claudia's performance as vala is excellent too...love the wittiness, intelligence, and everything!!!

I really want to read how her life is now with (her new baby, too privet to ask) season 10. Is she like it? how is the crew? how was it working with the Atlantis's actors and so on... but nothing! Maybe she is busy i can understand that but still i really want to read an interview with her and not reading other people interviews that talk about Claudia

Just like the scene in TPTB it shows that beneath all that bravado is a feeling (and hurting) person, an additional character aspect to the imp.
