I have a question for vala lovers.

Do people still want a daniel and vala to develop?!

I'd like him to be a little nicer to her. So he's not keen on the trickster side of her, but he could learn to appreciate her insights more readily. I'm not shipping them though - if Vala's going to integrate into the SGC plausibly and get respect, I think on-screen Daniel-shipping for her character would get in the way. The focus needs to be on what kind of an asset she will be to the SGC. She has a lot of experience and knowledge.

But, whatever people want to do in fanfic is whatever they want to do!

It's a shame they didn't show us Daniel's reaction to Vala's news from the Ori galaxy, just one line in a conversation with Landry or anybody else would have been really nice. And I also would like him to be nicer to Vala, and return her scarf!
