Hey!

I am generally in here only once a week due to time. I don't get much into discussions here, but I can tell from what I have observed that this is a pro-CB and Vala thread that is ocassionally visited with controversy, shall I say? I find that CB tends to draw people with strong opinions from both camps, but the majority of the regulars here are CB and Vala supporters. We may tussle over hairdo and such from time to time, but I wouldn't classify the thread as anti in any sense. Although, we have had anti posters on rare ocassion. I hope that makes sense.

I'm glad to hear it! I spend most of my time in the Oven (the Daniel/Vala thread) and we've got a similar flow, that's what I love about it

I have to agree that the use of the term skank or skanky is a negative that is best to be avoided in a pro-thread.

That's what I was arguing myself I'm sorry if I didn't express myself well.

Ok, some of you are totally misreading and adding more to what I said that is really there. I totally respect that you all do not agree with my choice of words or my opinion. I am cool with that. I am however not cool with people acting like I'm some kind of anti-Aeryn/Vala/Claudia because I happened to disagree with the fact that the first half of S4 Aeryn's hair was not a good look.

I did not call Aeryn a skank, I simply said that the hair style was skanky looking. Meaning it was a bad extention job and really is not a flattering look on Claudia.

I'm pro Aeryn, Vala and totally Pro Claudia, but that doesn't mean that I'm the type of fan that will ONLY talk about the best qualities in the characters Claudia breaths life into. If I don't like an aspect, I'll talk about it. Apparently I am in a very small club. Not surpising.

Folks, I've been a fan of Aeryn since before FS begain. A frellin' commercial for FS got me with showing this dark-haired kick butt lady. I grew with Aeryn over the years and hold her very near and dear to my heart.

Seriously, I didn't mean to upset so many with my comment. In my world, saying what I said isn't as bad as some of you are thinking it is and again, I did not call Aeryn a skank.

Thanks for clarifying SunKrux. I'm sorry if I seemed overly defensive, I spent most of the weekend fighting off a mysogynistic anti-CB/Vala spammer and it must have carried over. I fully respect you having your own opinion about her hairstyle, you can think it's ugly all you want If we ever discuss the humongous pouf of volume Vala had in some S10 episodes, I'll be on the opposing side myself

Honestly, if everyone loved everything about someone all the time, I wouldn't find it boring, I'd find it creepy So I'm definitely glad there are differing opinions here It was really just the connotations the term "skank" gave her that put me off. I didn't take cultural differences into account, "skank" in my corner of the world is pretty bad but other words aren't, vice-verse for your world I'm sure.

Anyway All that to say that I'm grateful to you for clearing up the miscommunication, and thank you to everyone who defended CB though there wasn't an actual attack against her It was a good test run for the real thing I honestly don't think anything anyone said warrants reporting to a mod, everything stayed pretty respectful for an argument.

Just thought I'd bring this to everyone's attention in case they hadn't seen it. Seems as if CB is going to be doing an audio drama recording with MS for a S10 SG-1 story called "Shell Game." Yeah, I listened to GotG a few weeks ago It's definitely interesting. I'm excited to see how it works when they have two regular cast members involved...cause I think the CB one is the only one scheduled to have another cast member (MS), they usually seem to have a second voice artist instead. I'll be keeping tabs on this too, so between all of us I'm sure we'll catch any news that comes down the grapevine
