Yes, I think Cliff Simon had a lot of fun doing Continuum (though saying that, I'm sure he enjoyed playing every version of Ba'al!)

I loved that line of his! Even snurched it for a similar situation in one of my fics...

But Cliff Simon's delivery was perfect there! And I liked the contrast with Ba'al in that timeline to how he acts in "our" timeline, since he often admits he (and his cousins) is no God and doesn't seem to have a problem to acting "normal" in the last two seasons or so.

Don't get me started on Ba'al I'm in the wrong thread, but he is one of my fave characters in SG-1 (after Sam and jack of course)

Just goes to show what a good actor he is that he could play regal in Continuum. But to me, his character was adaptable to whatever situation he found himself in. In serving Anubis, he portrayed arrogance that is being tamped down but looking for an opening to overthrow Annubis and step back into the power. In Season 8 (I think), he is willing to blend in on earth (at least for the time being) as a business man (albiet a powerful business man). But he usually drops the "god" facade when dealing with SG-1. He knows they know better so unlike some of the other goa'uld who think that by their might and superior tech that by defeating SG-1' they can convince them of their diety, he doesn't waste his time. Then there's always his fine-ness that comes into play.
