Would've been nice to see her as a more recurring character though. She's better I think in D&C, discounting the pass she makes at Jack.

There's a bit in one of the official novels where Daniel tells Cam that he's running the Zatarc testing on Anise because "Sam still wants to kill her because she nearly got Jack killed". Lol.

Things I liked about Upgrades...

I laugh, a lot when I watch this episode. I love that everyone gets a humorous moment.

I love watching Janet put Anise/Freya in her place. I would not want to be on the wrong end of an argument with her.

I love watching Hammond get pissed off and letting people know about it.

And, I love the banter between Daniel, Sam, and Jack when they are "under the influence." I think my favorite scene is the one in the briefing room when Hammond opens the scene with "I thought the devices were supposed to enhance them physically not make them stupid!" Then there's Daniel's "I can explain that...no I can't." And, of course, Jack with his "General I can't tell you how sorry we are but Carter wanted a steak." And Sam's "Actually it was your idea...Sir."

Overall, I think this is a great episode. It's well written, it gives us a new To'kra to love/hate, it's funny, and there's drama.

There are so many good lines in Upgrades but that one of Hammond's is my absolute favourite. It gets me every time.

Oh, and Jack always asking about snacks.

This whole episode is just fun, fun, fun. I give it 10 all around.

I like debating about why the armbands fell off at different times. Some people insist that because Jack had his first, he should have lost his first, but my theory is that since it's meant to be like a virus, it would depend on how efficient your immune system is. Younger people tend to have stronger immune systems.

Oh, and about Freya/Anise being a love interest for Jack: WHAT THE HECK?!?!

That would've been so OOC for Jack. I don't know how they would've sold that on any level, so I'm very glad that idea got axed.
