Also love how they did the flashback scenes, it really did give us a feel for the era and how things were for women back then. Except for the kiss, that felt a little out of place for some reason (I feel that they were not THAT demonstrative back then...and they were at her house!)
I love the torment of tantalus for both the love story and the insights we get into Daniel. We now know that none of the members of SG1 does anything by halves - it is usually all or nothing Daniel would give everything to keep studying, T's defection from Apophis, Jack's protectiveness over team members (Emancipation, Children of the Gods), and soon, Sam will have her moment in Hathor & Singularity.
I also love the special effects of the "stuff life is made of". I personally think Stargate did a great job with Fx considering a tv budget. Some of the from the air/overhead opening shots of
new planets are really great. I think they must cut those shots in order to have more commercial time on broadcast tv because I never noticed them until I bought my disks.sigpicRamonaThePest (you know, Henry Huggins' friend)

Look, Ramona, for me its really not that hard. I don't have immediate access to all the seasons, so watching them in order is a luxury I can't do. I'd love to be able to do just that.
I also won't go into a movie that's already started. That's just common sense.sigpichttps://www.fanfiction.net/s/7450657...-World-Goes-On Sparky story SGA https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10177037/1/Bad-Moon-Rising Teen Wolf fanfic story https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10573271/1/Skyfall Thor fanfic story

SEASON 2 REWATCH
okay so since everyone is asking already i thought i would start organising the season 2 rewatch. As meredith and I have been working together with it we have decided that for this season i will organise the schedule, reminders etc.
So anyone who wants to be involved with a review can you pm me please, let me know how many eps you want to do, if you have any particular ones you want and if there are any dates you cannot do
I also need everyone input on frequency between episodes. At the moment we are doing one every 5 days, we can go quicker if people want to or stick to the same, or we can do one a week if people are struggling with the schedule, it just means it will take us about 3 yrs to get to the really shippy seasons
I am thinking that as season 1 finishes on 8th december we will have abreak until after the holidays as i know everyone will be busy and we have shipmas in that time too, maybe start secind week in January
Anyway, let me know what you all thinksigpic
Thanks to the wonderful Meredithe5 for the awesome sig

alright i finished this up now and im going to post it a day and half early. so here's my review of Bloodlines.
BLOODLINES
Synopsis:
In order to learn more about Goa'uld symbiotes, SG-1 returns to Chulak to retrieve one. Meanwhile, Teal'c finds his family and tries to keep his son, Rya'c, from being implanted with a symbiote.
Favorite Lines:
Well, we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it.
:Bra’tac: No. The bridge is too well guarded.
and
Or
:bra’tac: I could snap you like kindling! How could you bring these hashack with you?
Hey! Hey! Hey! Who you calling a hassock
Favorite Scenes:
I had a few favorite scenes which most of them involving Bra’tac, especially when he single handedly takes on the guards and the priests at the Stargate when SG-1 is trying to make their escape. and Jack getting the upper hand on Bra’tac during their little skirmish before jack gets dropped like a hot potato.
General Review:
The episode that gave us a first look at Teal'c's life before he emancipated himself from Apophis. The revelation that he left a wife and son was a big shock to me as well. Who would have guessed a First Prime had it like that. Then again, Apophis was an exacting god, and doling out rewards for loyalty could be a good controlling tool. Until the Tau'ri and their pesky history of rebellion and freedom show up, that is.
The team is very visibly shaken by Teal'c's trauma from the experimental removal of the symbiote. From his waking from a nightmare in the operating room, it's apparent that he has been in turmoil over his family's fate.
Note also that Hammond is never fooled by Jack's sudden reversal on the Chulak revisit. "This is not my first barbecue, colonel." He summons Jack into his office like a naughty boy and dares him to try to do another Daniel - Abydos trick. Poor Jack knows when the gig is up and has no choice but to confess, much like did when he faced the threat of Hammond's nuke to Abydos. Hammond was so the man. Not clear if Sam and Daniel knew and supported Jack.
Good groundwork in this background of Teal'c and the Jaffa culture. They value family, have a stratified society, and a disgraced Jaffa also disgraces his family. Drey’auc had managed to get her and Ry'ac on the road to legitimacy when Teal'c arrives and upsets it all. She was very bitter at her husband's behavior and their long fall from grace but clearly she's a survivor.
Very heartbreaking moment when Teal'c realizes he will be the instrument of his son's servitude as he gives up his symbiote to save him. Teal'c would 'die free' but he's not ready for his son's sacrifice yet, a father's dilemma.
Other stuff that comes to mind:
• Whoa, forgot that Teal'c actually dialed the gate.
• Teal'c's emotional outburst at the ruins of his former home was unexpected and painful.
• Bra’tac's first appearance is like a crazy man!
• Get to see one of the few hand to hand fights involving Jack.
• Why didn't they keep their disguises on when they cleared the gate? Seems it would have made their traveling less noticeable.
• Loved Salli Richardson. She and Chris had great onscreen chemistry. And Ry'ac is just adorable.
• When the primtah is killed, noted that there was red blood on it. In a later story when Chaka kills one, the blood is blue.
• Jack knows scarlet fever when he sees it. Cool, that.
• Danny humor: Sam wonders why the Goa'uld would leave their larvae out in the open, unguarded. Daniel said, "It's not likely that anyone on Chulak would steal one." It does seem odd that the vault sits outside the castle walls rather than within; but convenient for Sam and Daniel.
• Slight reversal of roles: Sam, the military one, cautions Daniel that to kill vulnerable larvae would make them as bad as the Goa'uld, which is a bit bizarre knowing they know already how to hate humans. Daniel's anger gets the better of him and he destroys their vessel, killing them. Totally agreed with him on this. Sorry, Sam.
• Go, Sam with the well delivered grenade.
• What was with the priests at the gate? They seemed to function like Jaffa or slightly above them.
An emotional episode that added a layer to the stoic Jaffa, and he has a fellow rebel, the feisty 133 year old Bra'tac.
Rated 3/5.
Sam and Jack:
Not much. I hadn't seen this episode in a while and I honestly thought there was more S/J interaction.
Favorite S/J interaction:
it would have to be the end of the episode where O’Neill and Carter salute Bra’tac.

Yes, blue blood also in the episode where Teal'c backflashes to his father's death. Agreed about this first view that there is so much more to Teal'c than just stoic strongman/warrior/Jaffa but actual human factor revealed (if he were human, that is). And the introduction to Bra'tac and his erroneous (yet on the surface from a Jaffa viewpoint - correct) assessment of our team is really cool. Those very "weaknesses" are what make them the perfect catalyst to defeat the gou'ald - in ways the Jaffa (and Asgard) would never imagine.sigpicRamonaThePest (you know, Henry Huggins' friend)

I was also surprised Jack knew what scarlet fever was. I had no idea, had to translate and even then it only sounded vaguely familiar to me. Something I noticed on the two different wikipedia pages is that the English one made it sound very dangerous and that it affected mostly 3-8 year olds, while my page was saying it was very rare and affects 3-12 year olds. I also double-checked with other healthcare sites and they make it sound far less dramatic than the English wikipedia page and Jack did, and basically said it would pass after 7-10 days and if the kid was really affected then they could opt for antibiotics and some painkillers.
So, now I'm wondering if it really is such a big deal in the US and that anyone with a kid Rya'c/Charlie's age would recognize it, assuming that's why Jack knows of it. Anyone?
As for Daniel shooting the tank I thought it was really stupid. Not only will he have to explain the ammo he lost and why he didn't take the symbiotes with him after having destroyed the tank, but also why he let his emotions get the better of him and thereby endangered not only his life but that of his teammate (Sam) as well. Sam cautioned him about being as bad as the Goa'uld for shooting defenseless creatures but she should have told him it was a sure way to give away their position and that he'd be endangering the two of them. Probably the others as well, since their presence would lead to a thorough search and more security at the gate, meaning their only way of escape was blocked. But hey, at least Daniel felt a little better afterwards, right?Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20):
Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.
