Its possible that the Hataks are able to be significantly upgraded, the replicators proved they have immense potential, however i dont think this is a great way of doing it, a random weapons cache.

I had thougth about the Ori being invovled here somewhere, but i wasn't sure how to explain the end of Ark Of Truth in a way that would work.

Nah, a possible solution could be that the replicator upgrades and data were extracted from the hatak computer core somehow and were reproduced to a lower standard.

good story Dr Lee, one small thing, there were many replicator vessels left that planet which i have now forgetten about (the planet). they could of found one behind a moon, stealthed or something else.

History/notes:

As a heavily damaged 304 exited hyperspace above earth and told it's story, attacked by two ha'tak's of formiddable power. Earth started working on designs for a mass prodution cruiser that would be able to take a beating and still give one out as well as moving around the battle feild faster than all others. out of these choices a few were chosen to be evaluated, one of these was the g-99 'firestorm'. a small cruiser that ticked all the boxes for the new design.

Even though most energy is put into the engines, the firstorm still does damage. As it is smaller than most cruisers are expected to be it takes ledd time to build and costs less resources as well, making it a perfect mass prodution ship. The firestorm moves through battle with ease as it will outrun nearly all ships. the many turrets on the 'wings' are perfect for destroying fighters, and the plasma cannons ferther in will bombard frigates and corvettes to dust. not to mention the plasma beams at the front of the ship that will work with less power and fire less shots, but fire all at once to spread damage through out the enemy fleet. in a task force of eight these could well win many battles.
