It was supposed to have 6, but when I did a rear view with the way I originally had the engines it looked like crap, so I had to redo them. And I'm not way better at drawing. I don't even see what details your talking about. o_o Your designs are more original, and I like them more than mine.
Well, okay then. I'll come up with some stuff for the Thor. Just PM me with everything you've got on her so far, and I'll see what I can do.

An idea I posted in the virtual fleet regarding potential evac of Earth, when the Ori come to this planet. (This is in case we cannot find Merlins weapon nor the drones are very effective)

It's called the GST1 (Gate Super Transport)

      Specs:

      Dimensions:
      Length: Between 100 and 125km
      Width: 4m
      Height 4m
      Volume: 1.6 million cubic metres

      Crew: 3
      Passenger capacity: upto 600,000 people

      Shields:
      none

      Weapons:
      none

      Engines:
1x Sublight engine (Capable of speeds upto 52% LS)
      1x Asgard hyperspace generator

      Other:
      Asgard sensors

      Countries building:
      USA
      Canada
      UK
      France
      Germany
      China
      Russia
      Japan
      South Africa
      Australia
      Spain
      Netherlands

      Completion date:
      Late 2006/Early 2007

      Each priced at: £100 million

      History of the GST1
Realising the Ancients weren't going to help us, Daniel Jackson went before the IOA and recommended that we prepare for a mass evacuation to the pegasus galaxy. The IOA agreed, but was curious as to why the Pegasus galaxy, considering the wraith were there. Daniel stipulated that at least they are an enemy we can defeat, unlike the Ori.
This of course would mean an announcement to the population of Earth about the existance of the Stargate program.
Each country was to build itself a GST as preparation for an Ori attack, once completed the evac would begin. This gave SG1 4 months to find the weapon.
The plan was to use the supergate to send the transport to the new pegasus alpha site. Being only 4m in width and height, the ship should be able to go through a normal sized gate. Of course having no weapons it would need an escort to the supergate. The transport uses a "pod dispatch" system, in other words once at the alpha site, the transport would lower the compartment with the people inside onto the ground and leave, allowing the compartment to open by itself at the ends.
Once the population is evacuated, the stargate and the outpost will be destroyed, along with anything about the pegasus galaxy.
Along the way if any remaining, jaffa, nox, tokra etc are found, they will be evacuated as well.
Another reason for the plan is to force the hand of the ancients, if the Milky way falls, then the Ancients will have no choice but to intervene.
It is planned for each ship to be able to do at least 2 trips a day, maybe upto 4.

        [QUOTE=ZakeD]
        Length: 148 Meters
        Width: 72 Meters
        Height: 32 Meters
        Mass: 2 million metric tons
        Max Sub-light speed: 130 PSL
Defenses: Asgard shields, Trinium alloy hull
Armament: 4 Railguns, Asgard high-energy weapon, Nuclear Missiles
        Fighters: 6 F-302s

I guess the Asgard thing is gonna have to be taken off though. So I figure it needs some else that's gonna be stronger than a railgun but be able to be used in the gw virtual fleet.

ZakeD, the 130 PSL figure for the sublight speed. Is that 130 percent speed of light. If it is,
          a) by einstein's theory of relativity, that speed isn't possible in our space-time frame
          b) the whole point of sublight is to be under light speed.
Again if you want relativity not to be such a big factor then it needs to be below 90% LS.

          Comment

130 psl equals 1.3 percent of the speed of light.

              ^ So pretty slow then

              Comment

                130PSL is 130 percent the speed of light. 100% = 1.0c. 130% is 1.3c, hence impossible.

I don't mean to be a *******, but... if it came down to the evacuation of earth... wouldn't it be a BIT easier to have the people WALK through the gate? However, I can see a ship like that better suited to being loaded with supplies to cater for the evacuees.

I've worked it out considering the gate can only be open for 38 minutes. Assuming 1 person through the gate per second thats around 2275 people in 38 minutes. So in a day: 86000 people a day, hence taking 191 years to evac, these ships by doing 4 trips a day with 12 ships can take nearly 30 million people a day. Hence 208 days to be completed. I'm not saying not using the stargate or some of the starships. But the bulk must be done by these transports.

There's only the point that loading the ships would probably take a lot of time, the would not step faster in the ships than through the stargate, and you would have to land an unload the people, so never 4 trips a day.

Have you taken into account the amount of time that is needed to load these ships?

Reread the history and you'll see how the ship is loaded and unloaded.
It uses a pod like system so the passenger area is lowered and able to unload when the pod hits the ground, hence the ship is on its way back to Earth and while the ship is on its way back the pod on Earth is filled.
Yes, bear in mind that there will be about 33,000 lanes of seats on each level, so 17,500 on each side, that can easily be done in 6 hours. Thats approximately 1 person in the compartment per second same ratio as going through the gate per second. But effectively 4 people per lane per second (2 top, 2 below).

Oh right, but it's only easy to load if people aren't panicking, and people will be panicking if the Earth is going to be invaded by a reace more powerful than any other that is known.

You realise we could just use beaming technology to get them on and off...plus we would need a 100+km runway on the other side, unless it was a spacegate...also i dont understand why you are mentioningthe supergate...
The supergate is dialed from another galaxy to ours, we cant dial it from our stargate, we would need a ZPM to dial pegasus and it would run out after 200+ days of dial out 4 times a day...
