Does anyone know if the missile tubes on the DSC-304 can be reloaded within the ship?

Yes. Caldwell specifically ordered Rogers to load the missile tubes with their remaining nukes in "No Man's Land". Rogers was concerned because that was all they had left. Ergo, they can reload from inside the ship.

There's a ship I made. It's called the USAFV Thor.

          http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ills/thord.jpg

And thats a model of it done by cooky on scifi-meshes. ^_^

And heres some stats I came up with real quick.
          Length: 148 Meters
          Width: 72 Meters
          Height: 32 Meters
          Mass: 2 million metric tons

Isn't she a bit underarmed? What's her naval classification anyway?

I love that ship ZakeD, very very nice..if it wasnt for the Asgard weapons i think she would have made an excellent cruiser for the Gw fleet.

Well, its a small ship, and I figured having an Asgard energy weapon would make up for lack of rail guns. And I know that it's not very realistic for it to have an Asgard weapon, but I figured the whole situation with the Ori might have changed things..

And its supposed to be a cruiser.

And I've only been on here for a short time, and haven't really looked at any other threads..so don't really know what the gw fleet is. Thanks for the compliments by the way. =D

Ok after looking through my ship designs I came across one that I designed for China and I decided to ugrade it so that it could go on par with the rest of the Earth fleet. here is my revised spec sheet... I still haven't gotten a good picture for it so if anyone wants to try and make one they are welcome to try.
                    Spoiler:
                    Name: Shinobi

Type: Second Generation Chinese Deep Space Anti-Fighter Gunship

                    Technology Base: Goa’uld/Earth/Asgard

                    Dimensions:

                    Length: 27.7 m

                    Width: 9.23 m

                    Height: 5.8 m

Displacement: 675 tons (1 gee environment)

                    Power plant:

                    4x Mk.? Naquadah Generator

                    Propulsion:

Earth built gravity drive (based off of a Tel’tak’s)

                    2x Flash hyperdives

                    Weapons:

                    7x point defense coil-guns

                    Defenses:

Trinium/titanium alloy outer hull and superstructure.

                    Asgard based shields.

                    Production:
                    Shinobi
                    Tianlong
                    Yinglong

                    Background:
Developed as a first step in China’s fleet it didn’t have the hyperspace capabilities that the US’s ships possessed. It’s primary mission was to escort cargo ships from one place to another unfortunately without a hyperdrive it was severely limited in it’s escort capabilities thus the Chinese government pressured the Russia and the US to allow them access to the greater power sources and hyperdrive technology that would enable the Shinobi-class as well as later Chinese designs to truly become interstellar fighting craft.

The USA finally gave the Chinese government access to Asgard hyperdrive, shield, teleportation, and power generation technologies After the first three Shinobi class gun ships went into service, to allow them to build their own interstellar fleet of combat ships to help to counter the growing Ori threat in this galaxy. These technologies were immediately implemented on all of their existing ships including the Shinobi class gunships.

                    So what do you think?

ZakeD, You could easilly increase the number of rail guns on it. It looks to be only a little smaller than Prometheus. Say 4 main (large) guns and 6 smaller ones (anti-fighter)

It's 100 meters smaller than the Prom. And are you the same cooky that made that model for me? ._. And I guess I could add some aa guns or some phalanx or something. I just don't like drawing guns. >>

I'd have guesed from the hanger bays it wasn't that much smaller. Oh well.

                                Technical and Historical Notes:

While the United States Air Force had begun production of the DSC-304-class starships, it was found by the Financial Analysis Committee for the project discovered that using US Navy facilities to build additional starships would cut the overall cost of the program by more than 29%. With this in mind, the US Navy began the construction of a DSC-304 at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, in Bremerton, Washington, in the summer of 2005.

Secrecy was the biggest issue with the project. An Asgard transporter system was used to move all of the major ship materials into a closed drydock, while local docker engineers worked only on the assembly of certain, smaller modules of the vessel. Unable to use the shipyard's crane forced the construction crew into several creative applications of the Asgard beaming technology. On August 7th, 2005, six dockworkers were critically injured when a support structure for the ship's primary hull rematerialized above them.

Still, without having to build an entirely new dock to build the ship with, costs were indeed only two-thirds that of US Air Force constructed DSC-304s. The Long Beach Naval Shipyard, decommissioned in 1997, was secretly reactivated and two covered drydocks began work on two additional DSC-304s for the growing space fleet.

After the destruction of the Prometheus in orbit around Tegalus, a number of US naval officers involved in the project made recommendations to modify and upgrade the three ships under construction. The USAF Odyssey had recently been launched, but the three naval DSC-304s, because they had to be constructed through Asgard transporters, were all less than 50% complete. The Congressional Budget Comittee authorized the Navy to upgrade all three ships as they saw fit, in essence creating three new classes of starship all based upon the same hull.

The Endeavor, or DSC-304-04, was built with the help of the Supreme Asgard Commander Thor and was under the joint supervision of Captain R. Doyle Gillespie (the man responsible for the Abydos-class destroyer) and General Jack O'Neill. Of the three new DSC-304 variants, she would be the most heavily armed and best-designed for ship to ship combat against the Ori.

From the start, she was intended to be bigger than previous DSC-304s. Lengthened by more than 25 meters, her missile system was increased from sixteen tubes to twenty-four, with four reloads per tube. Her "island" superstructure was increased in height in order to house more powerful Asgard-designed subspace sensor arrays. And her flight pods were increased in size to accomodate two full squadrons of US Navy F/A-302s (the first squadrons being transferred from F/A-18 Hornet squadrons and training in their new planes over Fallon Naval Air Station in Nevada).

Her sublight engines are the same as on standard DSC-304s, but minor improvements made by human and Asgard engineers increased their total thrust by 33%, keeping the large ship fast and manueverable. The new Mk. III naquada reactors gave her a power output 600% greater than previous DSC-304s, granting her shields far more endurance than her sister ships'. Overall, the Endeavor's hyperspace performance was improved by 56%, letting her make the Milky Way-Pegasus run in ten days rather than 18.

The Endeavor's most distinctive modification, however, was the inclusion of Asgard-designed and Tau'ri-built directed energy cannons. The Asgard, while reluctant to give out weapons technology to the humans, agreed to design the weapons and let the Tau'ri build them themselves, as long as they were supervised by Asgard engineers. The Asgard would not have even considered helping the Tau'ri build new weapons systems were it not for the fact that the shielding technology they gave the Prometheus, while less powerful than current Asgard systems, was still based upon the same principles. The Asgard decided that helping the Tau'ri to fight against the Ori in this way seemed better than simply letting their allies be destroyed by up-to-date Ori weapons in the future.

The directed energy cannons were constructed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and were installed aboard the Endeavor in April of 2006. The vessel was launched under cloak on May 27th, and began her shakedown cruise two days later.

During the Battle of P3Y-229, Endeavor, along with her sister ships Columbia and Intrepid, were still under evaluation in orbit around the Moon and Mars, respectively. The Endeavor's primary weapons array, her beam cannons, malfunctioned repeatedly and nearly destroyed the entire ship at least once. She was commissioned on June 18th, in a small ceremony at her berth in the Puget Sound Naval Yard, before being launched for her first official mission: Launching probing strikes against Ori fortifications on Chulak, to assess the feasibility of taking the planet back.

The Endeavor has yet to enter combat with her main weapons, due to the fact that her DEWs are still problematic at best. She has been able to power them up and fire them, but continues to have problems with overheating and faulty software to control the energy flow. Her firepower is less than a twentieth that of an Asgard ship of the line, but was intended to make up for this difference slightly with a far faster firing rate.

Still, the Endeavor's ability to withstand twice as many hits from an Ori battleship's main cannon than other Earth ships has made her the preferred Earth mothership. She has successfully inserted and withdrawn SG Teams onto hostile worlds without the loss of a single crewmember. Her cloak, while based on Goa'uld designs, has nevertheless allowed her to gain critical intelligence on enemy vessels. Finally, her greater air power and defensive rail gun firepower has made her sorties into the Pegasus galaxy resounding successes. Endeavor has been able to defeat two Wraith Hiveships on her own, by using her superior speed, manueverability, and defensive firepower to close in on the Wraith ships, fire a missile, and cover it's approach. She has expended only eight missiles to destroy four Wraith starships-A far better kill ratio than the Daedalus, still operating in Pegasus.

However, the Endeavor's production made her twice as expensive to operate than DSC-304s, and her larger air wing has nudged the pricetag up by an additional half a billion dollars. Congress has decided that Endeavor-class vessels will be limited-production starships for the forseeable future. A second vessel of her class has not even been authorized yet.
