I quite liked Pendergast... Although that was a poor move, daniel jackson has clearly been captured, but destroying the weapon would have made them doubt the power of the ori if they did nothing to stop the weapon being destroyed...
And the plan was that if it didnt work to Get the hell out of there not sit around and discuss it...

I still hold that pendergast was a pretty good character tho the best of the prom commanders in my opinion

I havent exactly worked out all the specs yet altho very similar to BC-303's

Wraith predator culling ship

wraith hyper drive

4 heavy wraith thrusters

40 manuevering thrusters

~Weapons:

20 x wraith hive energy canons

1 x wraith planetary stunner capable of stunning 50km squared and able to peneratrate 20m of trinium, titanium armour planting

~Defenses:
wraith 1st generation shields
Armor: 50 meter bio regenerative armour

~Other technology:

30 x small scale culling beams
1 x super culling beam able to cull an area of 50km squared and able to dematirilise solid unorganic objects

Developed to cull the large populations of the MW it's now seeing use in the war with the tauri. This ship was designed to negate the need for darts.
All the victims that are culled are instantly rematirilised into cacoons for feeded.

Ohh so THAT's what a Wraith Fanw4nk ship looks like huh? There's a first time for everything I guess lol. But apart from that doing a Wraith ship is a good idea-we havent had many of those I think. Just tone it down a little and it'll be considerably better.

lol...why is it fanwank??? the ship is surposed to be 10 years from now so they could have shields...with enough power i'm sure they could develop a planetary stunner or culling beam maybe not quite as powerful...though tell me what you think i should revise an i'll change it

The newest wraith stuff is probably tens of thousands of years old. Why would they all of a sudden start building things if they think they can take us with what they have?

1.8 miles is the first thing. it would have to fire from SO far away to stun a planet at even that size...also the wraith ships are 5+ hm already so it would be 18km or something

The newest wraith stuff is probably tens of thousands of years old. Why would they all of a sudden start building things if they think they can take us with what they have?

1)shields because our weapons aren't ancient weapons and they don't pierce shields so they'd be useful.
2)Large scale culling equipment because they think they're going to a much richer feeding ground so being able to cull that many people at once would be far easier than 100s of darts.
3)granted right now they're arrogent but like with the jammers if faced with a threat they'd counter it and 10 years or so is plenty of time to come up with new tech, we're a different enemy to the ancients so i'm sure they'd develop new tactics over time.
...but i can see what you were saying but in the virtual fleet thread we're giving earth new advanced ships i think it's plausible for the wraith to advance somewhat in 10-20 years don't you?

Yeah, but they think they can take us with what they have now, otherwise they would have been more innovative.

Well...firstly you never actuallysaidit was supposed to be 10 years from now.

My biggest problem is the massive stunner-the energy requirements for that would be enourmous and the Wraith power generation tech cant be all that good since they have to keepdroping out of H space every so often. Besides if they fire that thing from space my guess is the wave would probably dessipate before it does anything.

they do think that but when more ships etc turn up they may decide to build somehting new...like shields to defend against our weapons, or a way to cull large populations effectively

the reason why wraith ships drop out if hyperspace is because they're organic ships need time to recover from the effects of hyperspace radiation

so why couldn't they fire a stunner pulse like that it can't use more power than some of the energy vollys their ships makes and who said it had to be done from space
