that way when we do a model and scale it next to a 304 we will know which is which; that way we stop the argumental problems...we can just label the 304 small and big.
Those in the modelling community cast your votes:
set sun
locutes
semmer
bob
Merlin
SDL
ALX
...any others I cant think of?
Saquist
Titan
colbmista
etc...
oh and i dont understand what do you want me to vote on?

436 pixels/ 5.197 = Width of Hanger Door is 83.9 feet
112 pixels/ 5.197 = Height of Hanger Door is 21.5 feet
F-302 to Width of Bay
Width of body is = 48.1 feet
250 pixels/48.1 feet = 5.197
576 pixels/ 5.197 = Width of Bay is = 110.8 feet
Width of Bay to Width and Length of Ship
Width of Bay = 110.8 feet
8 pixels/110.8 feet = 0.072202
55 pixels/ 0.072202 = 761.7 feet
132 pixels/ 0.072202 = 1828.20 feet
Length of Ship is = 1828.20 feet, 557.2 meters
Width of Ship is 761.7 feet, 232.2 meters
My First Daedalus Scaling (revised)-- 582 meters
My Second Daedalus Scaling-- 571.46 meters
My Fourth Daedalus Scaling-- 575.65 meters
Notice anything?
So you know I've brought this up before. There is only one reliable scaling (the fourth). I was glad to see you had done a scaling using POV vectors but these can be highly flawed since the vertical is foreshortened.
The thing is I've done my own scaling of the ship and it produces similar numbers as yours BUT. I was using the same pictures as you to confirm your numbers. The problem I believe is that every time we see a closeup of the ship the scaling is off. OR almost every time.
SO I would instantly throw out the Sam climbing Mount Daedalus picture because I don't think realisticly they scaled the ship to a human being but I do think they scaled this ship from the fighter requirements from the beginning. In other words...human next to ship is not likely a reliable scaling.
The fighter is the best comparison.
In order to get an accurate scale for the fighter you'll need orthographics aswell. But we don't have that. So I've have pinned the size of the Daedalus between 450-550 meters.
I think your approach is the only way we have but I still don't think the ship was that big.
