I highly doubt that the nations of Earth, especially the USA, would let an international station be built to house the Stargate. Well they might if they all got something that they thought of as better in return.

What exactly still needs to be done on the station Merlin1701?

ALX: some more work on the four blue lights (the brighter ones) and i think you're coming along well.

starts to look like something from Stargate

              History:
              Spoiler:
-The Chaos Tank, built for the sole purpose of destroying infantry and heavy positions, was the finest of examples of security for the Tau’ri’s front line forces during the wraith wars. Its weaponry were divided to anti-infantry, the two Gatling cannons on the rear of the turret area, and anti-vehicle, the two coil guns positioned at the front of the vehicle. Ten small arms burst turrets were placed on the underside of the front, the front tracks, and three on either side of the rear tracks in a small crevice. These three turrets were later called ‘hidden friends’ by the operators of the tank.
-The camouflage on the Chaos Tank was originally a stealth generator, but had the unusual problem of, getting in the way. This was changed to a distorted colouring of the armour that came in desert, city, night time, forest, and a few other colours. The favoured ‘pimped’ colouring with the elite tanks was allowed to boost moral during the ZPM war of 2013.
-The Chaos tank and all its functions are powered by 2 mark II nahquidah generators. The compact nahquidah generator allowed the tank to use coil guns as its primary heavy weaponry. The Gatling cannons were later replaced after the ZPM war with the more powerful ‘Charge cannons’. A backup mark I nahquidah generator was added to insure the tank was always in operation even after the main engine area had been destroyed on the body.
-During the ZPM war of 2013, between the Tau’ri Alliance, of human and traveller forces, and the Trust and its great war machines, the Chaos tank was used as a primary weapon against ‘Stompers’, long range artillery that walked across a planet’s surface. When the outcome of the ZPM war was over, the Chaos tank was used to crush resistance cells on planets in 2045.
-Deploying one of the T-206s on a planet was rather simple. It would be dropped from orbit and a gravity generator would slow its descent. Before hitting the planets surface and destroying itself, a second gravity generator would slow the tank even further then stop it altogether before hitting the ground. During the ZPM war, only three tanks were intercepted, one in the air and two in orbit. On releasing the tank, great strains would go through the crew and structure of the tank, as well as the heat from re-entry. The Asgard shield was used to protect the ship from the heat as well as reinforce the structure of the tank. The crew is stored in buffers, the same technology used in wraith darts, during re-entry. There are also buffers on the tank if it needs to make an over land journey using the gravity generators for a short ‘hop’.
-An ejection system is used in case of emergency. The crew is stored in buffers and the buffers are ejected while the tank activates a self destruct. The buffers cloak and stay in place until they are located by Tau’ri forces. The self destruct is started by a feedback loop on the back up mark I nahquidah generator. It is only enough to destroy the tank and causes little collateral damage.
-The basic crew of the Chaos tank are trained for nearly a year in simulation booths with the rest of their tank crew. Even after their training period, they are required to go through tests, practical and theory. If they get a single part of any of the tests they are placed back into training for a month to retake the test. If they still fail, this cycle repeats. Elite tank teams must go through twice the training that normal crews must and their tests are more complicated in the simulations. In either class, tank captains are tested in theory more than any of the other personnel.
-There are also buffers on the tank that can hold ten troops. These are used either to deploy troops on the ground or to use in tricky situations. In the ZPM war, a team of Shadows were released from the buffer to infiltrate a Trust Gra’tak while it was being constructed in a shielded complex.
-The tank was also used during the wraith wars to destroy a wraith dart growing facility and to capture ten-fifteen ZPMs that were being used in the facility. How the wraith constructed the super hive was a mystery after this discovery. During this mission, the ZPM war started.
-There are also six flare launchers on the turret body, on top of the cock-pit canopy. Two Tokra mining lasers, four Tokra mining crystals turned into energy that help the tank burrow through walls and such. The skin of the tank can also be electrified to stop soldiers from climbing on and attaching explosive devices to the viewing screens. The Gatling cannons were sometimes used as an anti-aircraft weapon. This was frowned upon because the Gatling cannons were already huge ammunition consumers and aircraft were not the easiest of targets to hit.
-Getting into the tank is rather difficuly, if the viewing screens are still intact. At the back of the tank, inbetween the gravity generators, are two iris covered transporter 'pods'. When inside, the person trying to gain acess to the tank must enter a code. If the code is incorrect, the person is beamed into a buffer and deleted. When the code is correct the person is beamed into the buffer and is transported to the crew area of the tank. This part of the tank is 2mL, 2mH and 2mW, this is the largest part of the inside of the tank. Each section is very small and crew get from one section to another via small tubes. The crew areas are big enough for a large human to sit and oporate the tank system they oporate. If an area is breached, that area is sealed of by a shutter.
-the weakest places on the tank are the viewing screen and engine exhausts. The engines have seperate shields around them and the viewing screens do also, but these sheilds are rather weak. When the sheilds are down, there is still a protective plating around the engine exhast, but the viewing screens have no such protection. A well placed charge will destroy the viewing screen and anyone inside the area of the tank. This is why the skin of the tank can be electrified.

Ah. Now I got that. I wonder exactly how the Asgard beam weapons work. Or more precisely what the beams are made of.

Well yeah but how is it flung in such a tight beam, what is added to keep it tight through its entire run to the target, and why could the SGC not made a rudimentary version before getting the awesome Asgard version, also what does the beam projector actually look like?

Its a dish type thing, I think. Its called an Asgard Plasma Beam Weapon for a reason. We don't know if its a cannon, or if its a thing that fires hundreds of plasma projectiles at an extremely fast rate but overheats after a few seconds. Either way, its way too overpowered in my opinion.
