in general, i create a cyllinder with the bottom creating the light and the sides being mirrors. generates a nice effect.

I really like the Aria.

the aria IMO puts you on par with people like RJB

Its good but RJB should be modelling for SGU by now, theres some scale of flawless when it comes to SG models and RJB is the benchmark.

The thing is: I need to redo the textures, the textures in the colours were used as shading so I got the right tone. That's what all the weird dots are.

Wait if im not mistaken thats going to be alot bigger than atlantis if that is a 304 on the pier because a 304s 750m long and Atlantis is only 3.5km across that peir alone is over 3 KM long

Noway. Why would they need a ship that size. Have you seen the Promie vs the Hive ship. We'rent the Hive describe as more than a kilometer long?

my point was just that the TPTB did a terrible job when it comes to ships and scaling so basically there are no rules exept the ones "we" follow. my only rule is Keep it within reason meaning no Starwars Deathstars or mobile planet sized ships like the ridiculous Magog world ship in andromeda!

yeah I would say so

regarding 304 scales: most accepted are 600-700m.


i think Vis Uban should be big and badass.
