I blame you Merlin! I should be working on the wheels for the Modelling Challenge..... but seeing Merlin's Recon and Rescue ship has sent me back to my fast attack ship..... and i'm now building an entirely new version.

As per a question i posed in here a while back,i'm going to have the ship equipped with a hyperspace generator from the Prometheus, whiile the ship itself is roughly 104M long (42.5M wide and 18M tall)

other stats include-
~ Single Jumper bay
~ State of the art Medical wing
~ Crew (minus the medical staff) of ten
~ 12 rail-gun battery's
~ space for the growing list of ground vehicles i'm currently amassing

does anyone know how to individually texture faces in Blender? everytime i do something for a face, it does it for the entire object!

I can't even make th simplest thing with blender

I use different objects for different parts of the model.. makes it easier to add textures

I also read a lot of tutorials when I started.. at first I couldn't even move the default cube around

lol moving stuff wasnt hard.

actually blender IS pretty easy. only it takes so long before you know what every button does.

i'll soon get you a pic of a land-based vehicle.

Now i come to think about it... it does ..... the intention was to have a similar design key as the Stealth ship i did for the last challenge.....

442... recommend adding a second light on the other side of the ship..... maybe dial it down a slight bit though.
