That's was make the stargate ships great for sketchup then.

The sculpt tool is ridiculously easy to use.. Could probably be used to make organic looking ships...

EDIT- Righty.... got a query..... what sets the speed of a ship through hyperspace? is it just the size of the generator or the size of the generator compared to the ship it's tied into?

I'm a proponent of the ratio theory myself (size of ship to size of generator).

exactly I always think its strange when people write that their ship has neutrino ion generators and its only 100 -250m long...as the Asgards took up huge amounts of internal space and any Tauri version should be a larger retro version.

A small outpost is something i've ben fiddling with for a while.... but i can never get anything i do to look any good

I've yet to finalize the size till a bit more of the detail is done but it will be around 100-200m.

Playing with volumetric lighting? It can be fun at times but can be frustrating to get the look you want.

Added a bit more detail to the station as well as some windows for scale.

It looks ancient but i cant imagine the function of it atall. Would this be in space or on a planet.
