How is it at complex shapes. I'm having to fight AutoCAD...it doesn't have the freedom I need.

If you already have experience with 3D modelling software you might want to try Blender.. it's a lot more powerful than sketchup although it takes a little longer to learn.. but it's worth it

Its freeware so is kind of meh.

Just had a look at your creation, great. But yes, AutoCAD and most of the other drafting software is very time comsuming. I've only done mine in 2D on OneCNC and that is a task for it.

You're not lying...it's not easy enough...and frankly it doesn't make a lot of sense why it is so break neck.

I'm loking into 3D Max...but it doesn't make any sense.

looks like a great start, kind of an Asgard influence. What kind of ship are you going to make it?

It's very nice looking to be so simple.

try sketchup, its alot easier than 3dmax and dr lee's design looks simple as that is how every ship starts out. Create the shape and add detail later...then add more, and more.

I really like the look of the ships with the exception of the horns on the front.
