      My destroyer, the Hermes class was 465M long and my frigate which will be one day finished, the Orpheus class is about 360M long.

      I wanted them to fit in around the daedalus at around 600ishM long

        Actually, no.

        The distinction between Frigates and Destroyers has very little to do with the hull displacement, but more to do with the armament is carries.

        A Frigate is a based around Anti-fighter, or Anti-stealth/sub, and carries small and medium guns as primary weapons.
        A Destroyer is a fast attack ship, and general escort, carrying missiles as it's primary weapon.

        A frigate can be bigger than a destroyer.

            Missiles are definably not in short supply on the Blitzkrieg class, over 50 can be launched in one go, and in total about 200 are carried.

            Though in missions in which resupplying is hard, it can carry another 50 missiles, but then her energy weapons (downscaled AG-3s (pulse weapon variant)) are used most

                        what type of guns will I need then? I don't have much experience in designing guns.

                              Im not sure you need the guns, an effective texturing system could work equally as well as intricate modelling of specific emplacements, or at least allow them to flow with the model better. The guns look very flat at the moment, and imo detract from the overall model, i think only larger purposely visible guns need to be modelled fully, and other indications that it is armed such as missile launch sites, while the specs fill in the other blanks.
