it alright, but try and be a bit more creative than panels. they can only get you so far.

Putting power conduits or piping on the frot seems both irrational and kinda dumb too me, since it's both unneccesary and rather exposed, but i'll be doing more detailing, and with textures, it'll look much better.

I'm thinking of modelling a true carrier. SG's got no real human carriers...

I won't be getting anywhere with this model, becouse for some reason, sketchup wont understand that perfectly aligned squares and triangles make faces.... they're all 100% aligned after the axises, but for some reason, it wont understand that they should make faces. and i can't trick it to do it either...

It won't? What exactly is the situation here? I've never encountered that problem...

I'm greebling the top, but for some reason, when i offset, raise the center and then draw lines from the raised corners to the outlaying corners, it only makes faces on 3 of 4 sides. It's a retarded program.

EDIT: however, through lots of shouting and many threats, i seem to have convinced it to work properly.

often when the model gets too complicated + rendering, it crashes. like with the model i'm working on. i dont get how Extrenix can model that way

I have that problem too. I like making complicated things, and then I can't colour it....

2 words that solved that problem for me MORE RAM.

I have 1.5 gig, that should be enough for anything sketchup can throw at the comp...

i havbe got 2gb of ram, and my sketch up goes book if trying to colour

It's not RAM then. You probably need a better graphics card. That's the usual problem.
