It's been awhile since I did any rendering besides WIPs so it was nice to play around a bit. This is far from my best work but I hope you enjoy.

Well I feel I could have did better with my lighting setup but an artiest is always there hardest critics.

what program do you use? and boy it looks soo sweet. little point though: in the series the railgun fire is much brighter yellow. here its almost white

He uses Lightwave, and unless you've got a few hundreds burning a hole in your pocket, you ain't upgradin' to it anytime soon.

While this is great work and miles better than i could ever do, i unfortunately have to agree with you. The Daedalus doesn't look as 'real' as it does in your other renders.

But i do like it, its a good way to show off your Daedalus.

I just could not for the world of me get the lighting setup the way I wanted but at some point you have to move on.

As for the explosions, they are a post effects done in photoshop. I have a real world explosion pack and I spliced some of them together to get the effect I wanted. (still room for improvement since this is my first try at doing something like this.)

I've thought that it will have 4-6 big turrets mounted symmetrically on top and bottom. One "assault beam" was also an idea. Then missiles, PD weapons and fighters of course.

Now the original scale of the ship is 2100mL,705mW,280mH. I've been thinking to go 75% of original, so it would be 1575mL,530mW,210mH. Comments?

Sounds about right for an Alteran Battleship.

You really should submit your 'ancienty' designs to the Fleet as ships for the Lantian remnant we have. Don't worry about specs if you don't have time to write them, I'm sure someone would be happy to do them for you.
