I hope he takes his meds well. My aunt has a cat with diabetes and it's quite an interesting feat to give him his insuline shot. Well, it is for me... Last time he bit me so hard I cursed the living daylights out of the house. He bit me straight through the protective glove I was wearing.

Where do you have to inject it for the cat to be able to bite you?

Thanks, all!
He's an absolute love and takes his meds like a boss. I really couldn't have asked for a better dog - especially considering he was a rescue. Plus, he's from the same lines as my Schutzhund female* (Czech lines, not bloodlines) and came to me with his BH (Begleithund or, in English though the translation is certainly not direct, Traffic-Steady Companion Dog Test) in place. Now, Bailey and I both have retired from the sport (her forever, me for the time being, I suppose) so he's unlikely to get the opportunity to go any further either - not to mention he's nearly 6 already. But anyway, I digress...
Yes, he's a good boy with a great temperament and I'm looking forward to getting to know him more and watching him settle into the household.
*GW tried to censor b*tch even when it wasn't a "curse word". ::sigh::
Speaking of gitting bitten by animals, I got bit by a cat dead in the nose, and I mean IN the nose, the cat pretty much just bit deep in my nose and hung on it its mouth until my younger sister just hauled back and slugged the cat clean off me. For almost two years my nose was 'constantly bleeding' because of the cut marks left.

I've been bit by dogs numerous time - a hazard of working with with a bunch of dogs people would classify "bad". I'm the trainer that gets handed the problem children. But I do love it. And I've worked with dogs that haven't bit me far more times than I've worked with dogs that have bit me - so I'm counting myself lucky.
I've also been bit by horses, birds, rabbits, cats and goats (though they don't hurt so much as the others). One of the sheer joys of growing up on a working farm.
