The downside of my job is that I work a 2 day/ 2 night/ 2 off rotation.
So I am up at 0415 so I can get into work for at least 0550 to start work at 0600 when I'm on days. Finishing at 1800. I'm usually in bed for 2200. Sometimes earlier.
Nights I'm usually at work at 1750 to start at 1800 finishing at 0600. Then it's home to bed.
And I'm up and around at 1400.

And yes my body clock is out of whack. There are days when I don't know what I'm doing.
Thankfully I'm on holiday in 9 days.

Oh, yuck. I so could not do that. Too old for that stuff. **hugs Starfist**

By becoming a Security Officer/Guard. I gave up all rights to a 'normal' life.

But the important thing is it pays the bills.

Too true. That's why I'm not quitting my job yet. Just sent my resume to hubby to look over. As a general manager, he'll give me tips on how to improve it, might even re-write it for me if he's bored enough. I was just looking over old resumes and recommendations and transcripts and I was blushing, too. Goddess, I had such potential! Time to re-group and finally live up to it. It ain't over yet.

I cannot remember if I still have my CV/resume on my computer. As I've been in Security for about 12 years.

I keep it up to date at all times, even when I'm employed, which I'm not at the moment.

Too true. That's why I'm not quitting my job yet. Just sent my resume to hubby to look over. I'm having conversations about this with my friend DS, who may in fact need to make a change himself due to injuries he received on the job this spring... he's having just enough trouble with balance and strength as a result of them that he might not be able to return to his job as a handyman, and he'd taken that job because he'd become a bit burned-out on bartending after a quarter-century of it. I'm trying to convince him to go back to school. He claims "it's too late"... To which I responded with a raspberry and a reminder that he's only three years older than I am and at least as smart, so if I can do it he can do it. Plus, his would probably be paid for by worker's comp and/or government grants, while I'm likely to have out-of-pocket costs and student loans.

Once I get to Maryland and the pressure's off a bit, I thoroughly intend to find myself again. Until then, just waiting for hubby's feedback on the resume, and then I'll send out as many as I can every single night until I'm employed elsewhere.

Sometimes the right music, and the right memories get the writing gears going in the right direction. I am now making more progress on Journal, and even though I hate to do it, I'm going to hold on Jellicle's Creed until November, Hopefully I can have Journal completed by then.

But then again what I hope and what I plan never work together.

My muse and I had a issue earlier today. I was supposed to squeeze out 500 words on a Legend of the Seeker episode tag, but my aunt was yapping away at my side. Had to start over at least 3 to 4 times... I just couldn't concentrate. And then when I was finally getting along I came 200 words short of 500... It clocked off on 606 words in the end though, just in time with the deadline too.

Though will have to rewrite it should I want to put it online - I fear it's too quickly written after all.

Quit the stupid job. As in, not going in anymore, despite having another week and a half of my notice to go. Will start the new job soon.
