This is a fanfic club dedicated to fan fiction centering on, or featuring Sam and Jack relationship.
In this club we will read every fortnight(every two weeks) one fanfic and discuss it. Everyone can join in and just have fun with reading and discussing your favorite fanfics or a new one that you’ve never heard of before.
We will pick a different theme and length of fanfic to discuss every two weeks. Because of this we have decided to make some “guidelines”.
Guidelines
- The theme will be chosen from a poll that will be visible on the thread and everyone can vote in. For example a theme could be Stranded off world
- We have three different categories of fanfic every fortnight:
Short fan fiction will be till approximately 5000 words.
Medium length will be till approximately 20000 words.
Long fan fiction will be everything more than 20000 words.
Every fortnight we will discuss all three sorts of lengths.
- The fan fiction will be chosen by the PFC staff, Bekki, Regularamanda and Starlover. We will decide what the fan fiction of the fortnight will be. This is simply because there will likely be several choices and we need to avoid the process becoming long winded and bogged down by voting rather than discussion.
Of course you may always discuss other suggested/nominated fanfic than the one that is chosen during that week. When the staff cannot agree on a fanfic, help from other thread contributors will be sought to chose. The staff will always try and chose fairly and objectively.
- Anyone can suggest fanfics for consideration at any time - just PM Starlover, Bekki or Amanda with the link to the fanfic.
- The second post of this thread will give a list of recommended fanfic, fan fiction that has been chosen and it will show what the current fanfic of the fortnight is. This post will be regularly updated.
-You're allowed to send Adult fanfic in to RegularAmanda. At the beginning of the fortnight she will send a PM to everyone on her list(tell her if you want to be on the list) with all the adult fanfics in it that we've received.
-You're allowed to send M rated fanfics to us, but within boundries(thus we don't want to see a fanfic that is actually a PWP but it has some kind of weird story in it to get from A to B). The chance is big though that we will not choose it as fic of the week, but people can of course discuss about it within the boundries of GW. Respect your fellow GW'ers and stick to the rules.
-When you PM us with a rec please, if possible, put length(short/medium/long) in it, rating and warnings.
Time schedule
The first week is mainly for reading but if people are fast they can also start discussing. The new fan fiction of that fortnight will always be announced on a Monday(no specific time).
We will schedule in one or two evenings in the week that the fanfics will be discussed. As example we start at 9 PM GMT and will in sequence of chapter, one till the final chapter, discuss the fanfic.
The theme voting
For choosing the themes; the poll will be visible the entire fortnight so everyone has time to vote. The theme with the most votes at the end of the fortnightwill be used for the next fanfic.
What Fanfic will be covered
Any story, long or short that focusses on, or features as an element the relationship between Sam and Jack. The fan fiction that we will read on this thread will be fan fiction that is suitable for the majority of the people in here. With every fanfic that is chosen we will post the title, author and rating, as well as provide links to where it can be read. We will only discuss PG-13/T rated fics for fanfic of the week. Other "M" rated fanfic discussions are of course allowed, but the debaters have to stick to the rules of GW. So there will be no discussion about the real adult parts of the fanfic about the gross details in it.
We will also, instead of only one fanfic, discuss three fanfics every fortnight. One short one, medium one and a long/novella length one.
Reviews
Everyone is allowed to leave all kinds of reviews on the fan fiction, but if you have no idea how to write a review you can use this as a guideline to help you write the review. This is not obligatory at all; it is just to help people along with writing about the fan fiction. You can also use this for another fanfic other than the fanfic of the fortnight.

It is also so that the reviews have to stick to the boundries of GW's vision statement. So no bashing of fanfics and/or authors. Please threat everyone with respect.
