I reistsed the urge to report the last post to a mod... I don't know why but I just can't be letting myself get wound up by bitter and twisted people.

Yes. There most definitely is room for the member bio's, to call it that for now.
The colourful grunge is working.

Oh yeah, we need a section for your poems too. I may even be inspired to make some more PTB videos to go on it (maybe some little shorts and... uh, I've had an idea for a while for a general Stargate SG-1 tribute video that I may ask for some ideas for and make to go there.

At least most of the responses Joe got on his blog were supportive I didn't totally agree with everything he said or necessarily the way he said it, but I think like LJ said, he restrained himself pretty well in the circumstances.

I just wish it hadn't been necessary

Not all people are like this. Remember that. Remember too that it's much better to rejoice in what you love and forgive what you do not, than to let resentment and discontent fester.
I made the mistake of letting resentment and discontent and, yes, even anger fester over the way my last fandom (X Files) ended up and the net result is I can't enjoy it anymore. I want to, and wish I could but I've twisted myself too much to do so. That's why, even if I don't agree with the way the little things (and sometimes the big things) work out in Stargateworld I can accept them for what they are. Because that's the vision of the creators and when all is said and done, it's just a bloody TV show and I can chose to switch it off if it bothers me that much. There's enough grief in real life to get upset and angry over without forcing it on yourself unnecessarily, IMO.
I'd rather be the person who goes to bed with a smile and a happy feeling than with a frown and a grump.

A friend texted me saying that she was coming back from her holiday and I, being busy here, sent her a text message saying: ''Woohood!''

My friend, who dislikes SG and doesn't know about fandom responded with
''Woohood?''

I realised my error and send her
''Woof''

To which she responded with
''Woof?''

*nods*
...Ok, I thought it was funny...

Everyone I text has now got used the WooHoood! of excitement I even get it back from a few

And that's awesome!
They need to know that there are people backing them up.

I guess so, and I did wait nearly all day before I said anything
