To be fair, while mine have been worn a few times, the soles are completely "as new" becuase I've never actually been vertical while wearing them.

Well - I gave up and tried a local weekend clinic - got a shot and some meds! Hoping it will do some good. Got all sorts of instructions.

Now as for those shoes - blame me will you - you are the one that asked me to get them for you EH-T! Oh, might have to get someone to replace me on the side arm - not sure how well I'll be walking then and could take you down with me!

I think that was it. I spent the last two days looking at myself in a mirror (working at a dance school will do that), and it's grown on me. Plus, I was told it suited me, which is always nice.

I spent a good part of the evening getting stuff ready for school (and work). I can't wait to go back. This break has gone on long enough. I never thought I'd say that, but I've had enough vacations for the next few months. I want to DO something. I also realized how unhappy I was for the last year. I've never looked forward to my classes as I do now. I guess theatre wasn't for me anymore. I loved it, but now it's time to move on to other things. It feels good. Bring on Monday

I have a career IT brother so he'll do it. Thing is, I'm kind of terrified what else he'll put on it. There's talk of installing something called XBMC and getting a raspberry pi to hook up to the tv so I can use my phone to remotely access my files and play them direct to the telly.

Actually still get excited getting behind the wheels of a new car every time. It's a nice feeling.

It feels better than I thought it would. I thought I'd have like a mini-panic attack at having drive without anyone but it was good. I had to put background music on though because the silence was horrible, and I was afraid I'd start talking to myself...

And, also the plan is to turn my old desktop into a netowrk server and set up a WAN between my house and my parent's/brother's and for us to store all our media digitally on a cloud so it's totally accessible from either end just by logging in.

It's all very hi tech and I haven't a scooby what they're talking about so just sort of nod and agree. Practical upshot is, when my laptop hard drive goes kerpluey again, I won't have to spend my life backing my data up as it will all be stored elsewhere anyway.

Oooh, check you. At least it will save you the heartache of losing anything really important.

I've decided, Ebay is full of numptys. I had a much less polite word for it than that but numpty will do on a PG-13 forum. I sold a camera for my brother the other week. An expensive SLR. Bloke who bought it has just opened a case saying it doens't work because he can't use the LCD screen to take photos....er, that's because it's an SLR and you can't do that on most older SLR makes. You kind of, have to use the viewscreen. You buy a professional camera and you get professional functionality. The worst of it is, he said he took it in a shop and the assitant said it was faulty. Yet there it is in the manual clear as day stating how it works. Sheesh, why to people buy things and NOT read instructions. And why to specialist shops employ people who know nothing about the products they are selling. The upside is he's localish (near Jumble's way) so if I have to I will drive down and shove the camera somewhere undesirable...er show him how to use it.

Yep. Well, I had to take the bus home but because I started so early I had to get a taxi to work. Not only was that costly but if they were late by more than 5 minutes, I started to worry. I had to ask for them to come ridiculously early to prevent me from being late if they were late.

But the upside was that when I called they knew who I was and all they would ask is which store/pfs I was going to because I work at a couple of them.

Howdy! I know all I do is complain recently - like a broken record. But the doctor asked me not to take Aleve or any other pain meds - giving his meds a chance to work. I wish they would start working soon. I'm in agony and his meds are only working a little!

I really haven't much else to talk about. Confined to my home, unable to do anything - my life just isn't much fun right now!

Ooh! I almost forgot! The 5 minute documentary I made with my class. We all pitched ideas (they had to be Cambridge-centric) and everyone chose mine. I feel very proud. My first piece of filmmaking! I really want to do a documentary on the rocky history of midwifery in the US. Starting to figure out what kind of background I'd need for that. I've got access to equipment, edit suites, and studio time (all free!) but I need to start working it out. Anyhow. Here it is.
